54 Year Old Had Rhinoplasty

I had the open procedure. The 'entry' cut is hardly noticeable now. The PPSI in Phuket really is the safest place to get this procedure done if you are considering going overseas. The company who organised my procedure also prefer to refer their clients to Phuket rather than Bangkok. Good luck. It is a painless procedure BUT be mentally prepared for the nose plugs you will wake with after surgery. I personally found it terrible not being able to breathe through my nose. So relieved when they were removed.

How many follow ups did you have? I'll research that doctor since you're satisfied with his work. I just started reading on Phuket. about how long did the scar take to heal?

There's a lot more obvious healing that needs to takes place ie. bruising and swelling can be very severe. The scar will be the least noticeable, but to answer your question, only two weeks for the scar to heal. The swelling will subside quickly if you rest and use a cold compress. Dr. Parinya will visit you in your room at the hospital the very next morning. Then after five days, the nose plugs plus external stitches he removed, then seven days after you will visit him at the hospital for the final consult. In my case, the bruising was almost gone within 15 days. I stayed two nights in hospital and a further 13 days in Phuket. Anyone who didn't know me would not have been able to tell that I had had surgery.

Going abroad (to the Phuket Plastic Surgery Institute) to get my nose done was one of the smartest things I have ever done. The hospital is phenomenal- immaculate. The surgeons have international qualifications and they are perfectionists. They obviously know that their clients have travelled from abroad and I think they really respect that we have done this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this facility and its staff. I've had a couple of hospital experiences over the years both in England and Australia. The PPSI is as high tech and clean as any of the hospitals I have been in. I was in Phuket for 15 nights and stayed in a fabulous hotel to recover. I cannot wait to go back. Dr. Parinya is amazing. Yes! I did mine at age 39 for $12k. I wish I would have done it at age 25 for a fraction of the price!

How much was the entire package. (Flight and hotel). Was the $5k just the actual surgery?

Flight was about$1,200. Hotel was $2,000 for 15 nights included breakfast. I booked procedure and hotel through a company called Gorgeous Getaways's- you can google. They organised everything. So price also included all airport/procedure transfers. 2 nights hospital, all medications and follow ups.
