Hi All,
This is my first review on RealSelf. I am a private person when it comes to sharing photos of my treatments. However, I need to share this awful experience I had with levulan. I had some acne on my back and was looking for a solution that worked. I had been trying creams for a long time but nothing worked, so I gave levulan a shot. After my first treatment, I had severe scaring. At first, I did not know what to expect and thought it was part of the healing process. After a month, I realized that the scars were not going away and now I have square shaped scars all over my back. I went to see a dermatologist who said that the scars would take years to fade and that some maybe permanent. I am completely devastated. Be careful with this treatment. I do not recommend it. The risk of scaring is too high. Attached are my photos that were taken after one and two months of healing.
