I’ve had an umbilical hernia as long as I can remember and it causes pain on occasion. I also have always had a pooch, especially after two kids, going from 120lbs to 195lb with pregnancy. After my second child, even after strict diet and exercise, I couldn’t get below 150lbs. I’m excited that I was not only able to fix my hernia but also get my flat tummy.

Post Op first few days
So... I had a great experience at the surgery center. Unfortunately a horrible experience at the hospital once transferred over for recovery, as all the beds at surgery center were full. I won’t go into detail here, but I was treated as if I deserved the pain since it was a cosmetic surgery and therefore was not adequately cared for.

Feeling better and better every day
My love and appreciation for my doctor and his staff only increases as the days progress. The amount of care and focus they are able to give their patients is next to none other. I am thankful beyond words for what they have done for me. And even at barely over a week post op, I couldn’t be happier with my results. I just cannot wait to have these drains out! Although very thankful for their purpose, I can’t complain too much, just so looking forward to being drain free

I’m only about half way to where you are. I look forward to the 8wk mark, where you you’re supposed to be able to go back to normal activities with no more limitations
