mini update

Day 17, I had a minor set back. I ran out of pain pills, (you only get a few days worth) but I figured cool just take Tylenol and ibuprofen.....that literally only worked for about an hour before I started to feel this horrible burning sensation in my left arm, so I took more Tylenol and ibuprofen. I went back and forth for about 12hours with no relief and tossed and turned all night because I couldn't get comfortable. Did the same thing with the Tylenol and ibuprofen the next morning and still no relief, so called the doc and they made an appointment for the next day. He said it was some nerve pain and needed to basically stop babying the arm. It sounded reasonable since the arm that I write with is perfectly fine. No infection no fever no dvt so this will pass. I will say that I had no clue that it could feel that bad and pain pills or not there is no way to go more than 6 hours without some sort of compression, the swelling creeps back up pretty quickly and will become very uncomfortable.
I will try and post pics this weekend but only with the compression because without it the swelling just looks like they did before.

I am 2 weeks post and I say it was worth it!
I decided on ticklelipo after 2 years of research and 4 consults. The procedure was quick 2hrs and they took about 0.5 liters from each arm. It really does tickle !! I laughed the whole time. After it was done I was in no pain at all.........but that was because my arms were still numb and I had other drugs in my system ( pain meds) :-)
The first night was extremely uncomfortable, so I took the percocet they gave me and after about 15 minutes I was fine, I was sent home in ace wraps with an underarmour over it but by the time I got home it was completely soaked through. The days passed and so did the initial pain. They say you can return to work after 24hrs of rest but I was so stiff and exhausted that was not possible. But I was up and able to move about the house, though using the loo was a task. By the 5th day I had enough of the ace wraps and went a few hours without , skin was very itchy. 7th day the effectiveness of the wraps was non existant and actually was having breakthrough pain because I couldnt wrap my self properly. So I purchased a MARENA post op garment, the best decision I could make!! When I put it on the compression immediately dulled the pain! It is such a comfortable garment for the amount of compression it provides, very breathable. I can actually see myself wearing it longer than six weeks. My arms have stretchmarks now due to the removed fat but im ok with that. Day 12 and I see a dramatic difference in my left arm but my right arm is taking its sweet time. I have absolutely no bruising, but I can feel the hard lumps in my arms. It feels like the fat was replaced with bricks ...doesn't hurt persay but is really awkward feeling.
I still have some swelling in my arms but have gained back all sensation as of day 8. Without the garment on I am very sore...feels like I have been punched a few times .
also, the day after I had swelling in my arms and every where else....hands feet ect ect but it was gone by the end of the week. So far so good....will post again in two weeks.
BY THE WAY ....DONT FORGET TO BUY YOURSELF SOME STOOL SOFTNER , You will thank me later :-)

Brief but he was kind, im not sure of my final results so wont give a full 5 stars and I kind of feel like he could have taken a full liter from each arm but we shall see.
