WORTH IT
In oct of 2015 i got a gastoric sleeve procedure done. At firat i was so against it thinking to myself that this is a cheating way out but it seemed that my love for food made it hard to commit to strict dieting. So i went for it. I absolutely love the new me. The pro was i love myself and feel so much better the con was my ex husband of 20 yrs insecurities got the best of him and divorced me 6 months after surgery. He couldnt take the fact that i was getting attention and turning heads. I learned in counseling that this could happen and i always thought after 20 yrs we must be atrong enough to get through it but that all crashed down on me. Even though the dark times have taught me alot about myself. I am happy now and feel great about myself. I dont have too much extra skin but do have saggy inner thieghs and chicken wings. Those are the only self conscious thing i dont like to show. But theres plenty of cute outfits now to accommodate that. Feel free to ask me questions and i am very comfortable talking about it...

I am 43 and weigh 250 and I'm only 5"1. I am having the gastric sleeve surgery. My husband feels I may be unhappy after because of saggy skin. How much did you weigh? How much weight have you lost? What should I expect?

I started at 280 and 2 yrs in im down to 150. And as long as you wear spandex while your losing the weight and drink water the skin is minimally reduced. I dont have a severe skin problem except for underarms

And even tho i have excess skin under my arms with spandex undershirts becoming a trend i just wear those. Guys always think about the skin. Lol mine did. But its not bad. Atleast mine isnt. Nothing too unmanageable

Thanks for the compliment. And as for the next question. My beginning weight was 340. And as for skin issue the only issue i have came across is under my arms. I wore a spanks tank through out the whole weightloss drop which i strongly agree that it allowed everything to shrink back together. So even though i got what they call batwings lol i still wear tank tops. You will really love your new self to look past it and your sex life will pick up and itll be like your 18 again. Good luck with your surgery and i would love to follow your jouney

Hello I'm having the gastric sleeve August 6 2017. How did you feel after surgery. How long did it take you to recover. And overall how was your experience.

It took a good week to recover you cant use your stomach muscles so your gonna need help getting up out of bed. I used a pillow and squeezed it tight to move around. You also will be sore sleeping on your side because you gotta think your insides have to rearrange itself. But after a week i was able to sleep on my side with a pillow proped under me. Food...at first you gotta make sure you eat. You wont be hungry and as scary as it sounds 3 oz of food for me was filling at first. Soups were my best friend. I still absolutly love soup now its easy and you will find yourself trying lil things that will either agree with you or you will loose some tastes for things. When everyone asks me how it feels now and today i tell them "you know the feeling of being full? That is the exact exact feeling i get after eating about 8 oz of food" same exact feeling. Its super awesome cause you dont find yourself missing certain foods that you liked before. Because you still get the full feeling. I would recommend this surgery before a gastoric bypass. My mom did that one and gets dumping syndrome sometimes. With the sleeve you dont. Or atleast i havent and i try different foods all the time without feelings of throwing up. Found out tho that my taste for bread and eggs have deminished and i loved loved bread but my body says no to what im not suppose to eat and ita not that i get a physical reaction i just dont get a craving for the foods im not suppose to eat....
