I realized that I could change my body by exercise & healthy eating but could not change the aging look of my face. Being married to a "younger" man, I wanted to look more refreshed and feel more confident. I gained not only my self confidence back but my self esteem as well. Thank you for sharing your experience. You are absolutely right when you realized that you change your body with exercise and good eating habits but not your face!!! With age, the bones in the face start to shrink and the muscles and skin lose their foundation and everything starts to sag downward. A facelift can really refresh the face and neck. Thank you for sharing your photos. Your results are spectacular!!! You look 20 years younger!!! Congratulations!!!

I don't know if my pain level was typical, but I did not have alot of pain. My throat was very sore after 7 hours of surgery though. Of course the first week was difficult, like any surgery but the pain medicines really helped. Along with the facelift I had a brow and eye lid lift which increased the down time. I had 6 full weeks not being able to do much, worked 1/2 days 10 days post op and then rested the remainder of the day but after 6 weeks I was back to normal. Good luck and hope your results will be amazing as well.
