Horrible Scarring on my Eyelids - Phoenix, AZ

I had a blepharoplasty a week ago, and my eyelids are uneven and the incision look horrible. My incision is longer than my eyelids crease. I will probably have a really bad scar when the incision healed. I am unhappy with my result and considering revision blepharoplasty with another doctor. I don't think my doctor knew what he was doing. Instead of making eyelids crease incision, he did a straight across incision. He deformed my eyelids.

every one told me to wait at least a month to evaluate and even though I still have some scarring, the results of the eye lift are worth it to me. I hope yours even out..I was not going to look for one month but couldn't help myself.

This is exactly how I look right now too. My incision is up to my brow way out of the crease. I did not have the same doctor. Has any doctor responded to you yet? I am 3 wks post and very upset!

I haven't had any respond from any doctor yet. I made an appointment with an oculoplastic surgeon this Friday, I hope he can fix my problem.

Make sure you look at pics. I went to oculoplastic surgeon and they did not measure and Now my eyes are scarred and hollow. One eye has higher incision above crease. Pls make sure they have the latest training. If not, they will mess you up by doing old fashion bleph.

I had blepharoplasty 6 months ago, and had the same long incision on my left eyelid. I was really worried that I would be scarred. Many doctors on real self told me to wait and it would heal, and sure enough, it's completely gone, cannot see it at all anymore!!! So keep positive and wait at least 2 months before doing anything.

I hope my scar will heal good like yours. So far it looking really bad because it above my eyelids crease and incision is really long.

so was mine, very long and deep. I thought there was no way it would disappear, instead it did, and it's because the eyelid skin is very thin, it heals easily.

blepharoplasty revision consultation

Today I went to Dr. Edelstein for blepharoplasty revision consultation. He said he can fix my eyelids to make them look even and reduce the size of the scars. But he told me to wait about 3-6 months for my eyelids to heal more before getting into another surgery. I asked him why my eyelids scar was really long and he told me he had no idea why my previous doctor made the incision too long, and it was unnecessary to make the incision that long. He measured both of my eyelids incision and they were uneven. On the right side, my incision is above my eyelid crease. I made a mistake by going to the wrong doctor, now I have to wait for several more months before I can get my eyelids revision.

I'm sorry you are going through this with the scar.
hoping during your healing/waiting time for revision the Bleph heals wonderful and no need to fix anything.

please be patient...my eyes scars are 7 months but getting better from week to week... i healed badly but i think it will be ok in the end

How is he going to make eyes even? Did he say how or why incision was above crease? How to fix that?

I'm not doing so good. I have to but tone of makeup to cover my scar, but you can still see it up close. It's now 2 months and 1 week my eyelids are still uneven. My left eye the incision is really wide and red, my right eye the incision is above the crease and it really long all the way up to my eyebrow. I definitely need a revision but I have to wait 6 months.
