Like many of you, I've noticed and strongly disliked my bags since a very young child (seriously).

Having my bags removed was something I was interested in so I would read and research without taking any action. I'm now 34 and it seems these bags persist to stick around. Some days are better than others, but I'd really like to see my eyes rejuvenated and smooth.

At my consult my doctor determined that he would perform transconjunctival bleph with fat repositioning. He said with my skin and tone this would be the best approach for me.

I chose my doctor based on facial plastic surgery being his specialty.

So to recap-
Transconjunctival
No fat removal, but redraping / repositioning
No external incision
Twilight anesthesia

I'm nervous, excited and ready for my bags to pack and be gone! Lol

My appt is scheduled for 7 am 12/15/16!!!

Day of treatment

Wow

I actually feel pretty good. I am blessed -All went well and I'm home resting (or trying to... Between bathroom runs, mirror checks, and grabbing peas ????)

The peas are an excellent alternative to an eye mask, which I planned to get and didn't)

My eyes are quite blurry, but I'll come back to provide my experience thus far.

Keep us posted! I had mine done the 7th. One eye is still very inflamed. :( but the outside looks ok I guess. I'm bummed that it is taking so long to get better and the steroid drops aren't helping. Sigh....

Almost 24 hours post!
I've got a black eye and a half can't say I expected that ????. There's also swelling too more so on my right eye.

Again I'm blessed- I'm not in any major pain, but there's a little itching and some discomfort / burning(??) right now. I iced mainly all day and probably should now since I'm up, sigh.

I'm not sleeping very well, so I'll chat with the doc about that. Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing my eyes fresh and rejuvenated!

I'm taking lots of pics too of course, so I'll probably share them. I've read other reviews and the words are so helpful and encouraging! Pics too.

*** About earlier***
Anesthesia was a scary thought for me. Somehow, I was way calm this am despite my fears... Maybe it was the valium (?). I have zero complaints, the twilight sedation went great, I don't remember a thing and it happened within a snap! I don't even remember what I was talking about ????.

I do remember climbing on the bed shaking from being cold and nervous. My nurse fixed that quickly! Everyone was so nice for it to have been so early!

When I came to I could hear the music playing, I think my nurse dressed me and I was headed home.

Once I could see better, I saw blood had collected in my eyes like tears that had not fallen across the brim, that looked pretty unsettling. No wonder my husband kept asking me if I was ok. I actually felt great!

Icing seemed to make them leak some. When I looked in the mirror some of it had dried, looked kinda gross but easy to wipe away.

Guess I'll grab some peas and try to get some more rest. I'm quite restless.
