Almost 3 years later...

Almost 3 years later and I am not happy to see that I STILL have bags :(
Some days are better than others but ultimately I expected that my bags were gone. I’m seeing folks with Excellent results, then I look at mine... I really thought I chose the right surgeon, but his technique did not eliminate my bags. Sometimes I consider reaching out to him... but I’m not sure what that would change :(

Still healing...
msZenbeautyFebruary 5, 2017
Things are progressing. Though this I have noticed that I looked tired this week. To be fair, not drinking as much water as I should, staying up late, and I slept in my makeup twice (oops!!).
In either case, healing takes several months and I believe there's still areas that need more time, like where the fat was moved to.
For sure there's improvement! Cheers to puffiness gone forever! :)

Dark eyes
msZenbeautyJanuary 3, 2017
The days seem to be flying by so quickly!
Some days I'm feeling really anxious. Not so much questioning my decision but checking my progress and trying to know all of the nuances of recovery and where I am in my recovery process- though I'm still quite early in.
Alot of the swelling has improved so I'm happy about that. I still have some puffy swelling though. The skin around my eyes still look dark. I'm not sure how long this effect will last(??) residual bruising maybe causing the pigmentation *my guess*.
It feels weird to close my eyes (not to sleep) but to avoid getting soap in my eye for instance or any other plausible reason to squeeze my eyes closed. Its not painful but it doesn't feel good either.
My under eye skin is regaining feeling- applying makeup under my lashline feels weird!
Just wanted to document a few things-
Happy New Year!

Thanks for the update! Your eyes look so smooth compared to before. I was going to get my SX done last week but chickened out.'im 34 as well. Have you been impressed and happy with your doctor?
January 4, 2017
Awww! That's too bad you chickened out. I was nervous too! Definitely you need to be comfy with your doctor. I'm happy with my doctor- still navigating my healing process. Anxiously awaiting my final result...
Once you're confident in your doctor, maybe you can reconsider! ;) keep me posted.

Thanks for your updates. I'm considering this surgery as well. How are you eyes doing?

Hi Christine! Taking each day one by one. My eyes are also getting better with each day. This is definitely NOT an instant fix, so be sure you are realistic with your expectations as well as the healing proces. I was away from work a few weeks and I personally was happy forevery bit of it though I was presentable around 8 days post op. So depending on how you heal, some superhumans (lol) don't bruise or swell. Your mileage may vary :)
When are you thinking you want to do it?

Did your doctor make the incision inside your eye lid or outside? I'm thinking about doing it in the next couple of months. I'm just tired of looking so tired as a 30 year old when I'm not. :(

I had transconjunctival, which is inside my lower eyelid. Really wasn't painful, just swelling and bruising. The hardest part in my opinion is being patient with the healing process :)
