I am 95% ready to do this. I am confident I have found the doctor. My husband is super supportive. I just need to go for it. I had the lap band in 2008. I have been stalled at 172-175 for too long. I box and kickbox a few times a week, but I have a hard time doing everything because of my tummy, rashes, and heavy breasts. I feel like these surgeries will help me move better and feel more confident that I can move.

Dr. Olson has done amazing work on my lower body lift. He is meticulous. I would highly recommend him. His staff is just as kind, responsive and professional as he is. He put me at ease, answered all of my questions (sometimes more than once because I needed the reassurance), spent time with me where I never felt rushed, and used this amazing dermabond to cover the incisions, which are so low! I can't wait for the breast reduction and lift procedure.

I love your confidence and enthusiasm.  And the fact that you have a supportive spouse is very positive.

You've already had surgery before so you probably already know what you might need beforehand but here's a list that might help.

Please keep us updated on your progress.  We'll count down together.

Hello, thank you for sharing your journey. I'm in Phoenix also and want a body/thigh lift. Would you mind saying which surgeon you chose? I haven't met with anyone around here that I feel comfortable doing such an extreme surgery with. If there's someone I haven't heard about that's good, I'd love to know. Can't wait to see your results.

I choose Dr. Josh Olson. He has an office in Gilbert and in Scottsdale. I really like him. He explained things, gave me things to consider, and has a good balance between results and safety.

I have recently lost 30 pounds but my body below seems limit would be fit from this as a way to cut down on so many surges, who is going to do your combo.

I did the lower body lift first. And then I will do the breat lift and reduction when I am feeing ready.
Some doctors said inocusl do it all at once which would have saved me some money, but I decided I isn't want to be under for more than 8 hours. My lower body lift ended up being 5 hours. He had schedule 6 and said it could go longer.
Dr. Josh Olson is who performed my surgery. I highly recommend him. His approach was not too aggressive but enough and certainly realistic while striving for the best possible outcome.

I have a hard time looking at these. I hope the surgery takes care of most of the excess so I can move more easily. I worry that at 172 pounds and 5'4" I am still too overweight, but I have been stuck here for so long. I am active but not as active as I could be if I felt more confident and comfortable.
I will try to get some of the back side.
I am still undecided about which procedure. I am going in for a second consult with the same doctor tomorrow so hopefully he will help me make that decision.

Yeah! It is exciting. You will be about a month ahead of me. He mentioned the possibility of adding fat to the butt at the same time as the lower body lift. I am not sure about that. There is so much to consider.

I definitely have the right doctor. I am nervous when I'm there and he makes me feel at ease. Plus I really like his approach and assurance that it is going to be better.

Down Payment and Date Confirmed

User Avatar

I now have made the down payment to reserve the date for the body lift. I am still unsure about lipo. From what I read that is painful to recover from. Do I need one more thing to be in pain from?
Plus it adds about $2500 to the overall cost to remove the back bra rolls.
So how bad do I want the smooth back?
There are so many decisions to make that it feels overwhelming.

I hope so. It is scary but exciting too! I just wish I could "see" what it will look like. I have a hard time picturing it.

I did decide not to transfer fat to my butt. I just don't care enough. I have lived my whole life without a butt and if my tummy is less pronounced then I think the butt will look better in addition to the lift.

I know exactly how you feel! When is your surgery date? Mine is October 21st. I felt like puking after I made my surgery date! I go October 9th for my pre-op appointment and have two pages of questions for my surgeon!

November 20 is my date. She said she'd send me the paperwork a few weeks before the pre op appointment. I am anxious to just get it done!
