I have wanted to get a rhinoplasty since I was 16, I was ok with my nose in person but on camera you could always see right up my nostrils. The cost of a rhinoplasty in the USA would have left me in debt, so I knew I would have to go oversees. After years of research I found Dr. Levi Lansangan, located in the Philippines.
After 33 hours of traveling (long layover) I arrived at the Richmonde hotel Ortigas. The next day I had my consultation and my surgery on the same day. I woke up and immediately freaked out because my tip was upturned and swollen and my nostrils where an unnatural shape. My cast was removed on day 7 and I was reassured that it was due to swelling and Dr.Lansangan was correct, within a few days my nose started taking shape. His staff was great, and they even came to visit me in my hotel room to teach me how to clean my nose properly.
The things done to my nose incluide a 1mm Gortex implant (even though i wanted a bit higher its ok) , He elongated the tip of my nose, and also made my nostrils smaller. He was also supposed to do an alar lift however decided to test my skin to see if i developed keloids as I am black, and then he could do my revision alarplasty after 3 months free of charge.
Today my nose looks way better, It isnt the nose I wanted since i didnt get the Alar lift BUT im almost happy he didnt do it because i like the fact that i have the same nose shape, just smaller and more defined. My left nostril looks different to my right but its only been a few weeks so im hoping it will take shape once the stitches dissolve. No one has been able to guess what I did, They just notice my face is more appealing and that I am more confident.
I still have the option of getting my Free revision later on, But For now I am very content and doubt I will want to go through surgery again or the 33 hours of traveling lol.

Nostril Update

Ok so i decent sized booger fell out yesterday lol and My left nostril finally started taking shape, Who knew the power of a booger haha. I will update you all in 3 months.

I had a laugh at this one! Sometimes those boogers have clumps of nasty blood and stuff and it really helps with the nose taking shape. It is amazing some of the stuff that comes out of our nose!!
