So here is a before and after photo of my healing progress after rhinoplasty. The one on the left (exactly after operation), looks structured or lets say, not round. Then the one on the right was already 2 weeks after surgery where the base now looks more round.
I am worried if it's really just the swelling or am I going to deal with this type of nose for the rest of my life?? The base of my nose doesn't look pleasing and is almost same with my old nose. The nostrils are slowly showing and becoming more obvious through the days. Is my nose going to be like this until it has fully healed? Or is it going to drop down soon? I hope some people here would be honest with their opinion because I am contemplating about having a revision on the 6th month.
For your information, here's what my surgeon did:
1. He used goretex to improve my nose bridge
2. Trimmed the sides of my nose
3. Harvested some cartilage from my ear for the tip of my nose.

Hello. I am on my 13th day of surgery and I am not liking the result.
During consultation, I told my surgeon that I didn't like my short round nose - no bridge as well. So I've told him that these are the things that I wanted done:
1) to lower down the tip of my nose so that my nostrils aren't showing
2) have a nose bridge
3) make my nose look longer and slimmer cause I have a short round nose.
So the surgery happened and I initially liked how the tip of my nose is much lower and it's not as high as it was before. I felt relieved as well since my nostrils aren't showing that much anymore - so far then.
However, as my nose heals through the days, I noticed the tip going higher again! As if going back to its original place - almost piggy like! Also, my nostrils are becoming visible again just like before! It was as if someone's stretching the tip of my nose back to where it was before! Although I am happy with my new nose bridge, I am just not thrilled about the tip of my nose. I am worried that the end result wouldn't make any change at all, as if I hadn't done surgery! I paid a lot of money and I don't want to put it into waste.
Help me please is this normal? Is there a chance that it will go down to a point where my nostrils won't be much prominent/visible? Or do I have to have it done again? :( I am totally having a melt down right now. I am disappointed and scared!!! :(
I posted some photos for reference.

do you mind sharing your doctor's info? Im considering rhinoplasty in Philliphines too
But I see a lot of People who are not happy with the results in the first weeks. Maybe your doctor was right and all you have to do is to wait patiently. I hope your nose will look better and wishing you the best recovery ! :)
