I AM CEASING ALL LASER TREATMENT

Hey guys, thanks for reading and for all of your feedback! If anyone has something to share in regards to complete removal (from now until whenever), PLS feel free to comment/share below. I do hope that this issue will be proven, in order to clarify if laser tatt removal is a worthy investment...

I, personally, have decided to cease ALL laser treatment. My last session, #7, made me feel REALLY sick and lethargic...I got extremely dizzy instantly after the 2nd pass of the laser and just felt really spaced out, like I had been struck with a laser beam or something (oh wait, I HAD BEEN!). Needless to say, I know my body is not cool w/ this AND I had recently found out (through research of MY OWN) that laser tattoo removal breaks down the ink which contains heavy metals like arsenic, lead, and mercury! My tatts are really small, so I am going to get them covered up...because, yes, they have faded...but they still remain and are VERY obvious, only now the outline is more like brown instead of blue LOL. I was originally quoted at 5 times, but after number 7, I decided that I just COULD NOT take this anymore!! My body is really out of whack: I am foggy and weak and have to stay positive and take really good care of myself to rid my body of the trauma I put myself through for the last year ½. To each their own, and good luck with your decisions and results, but this is JUST MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION AND EXPERIENCE.

I would hope, that maybe a few months (to years) from now, when many of you guys reading this now have completed your laser tatt removal journeys, you would please add to my blog and answer my unbeknownst question: does laser tattoo removal actually REMOVE the tattoo completely?

…If not for me (as I have made my decision and have finished my journey with laser tatt removal), maybe for that next guy out there. There needs to be more HONEST insight into this medical procedure.
THANKS! AND GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

ORIGINAL POST

Hey everyone, I have just recently found this...

Hey everyone,
I have just recently found this site...all I can say is WOW! I had no idea so many people were going through laser tattoo removal..and...to see your results is not only inspirational, but very educational as well. I have been getting 3 very very tiny (all black outline only) approx 1"sq tattoos removed by laser for over a year now, 6 sessions deep. I actually ended up getting one covered up b/c it started to scar, and I took VERY good care of my tatts (lots of water, great diet, exercise, no sun, etc) even waiting 12 weeks+ b/w sessions. And mind you, my tattoos are very small, all black outline, I have very fair skin, and they are all over 10 yrs old...I am supposedly the "perfect" candidate for laser tattoo removal.

Anyways, here we are on session 7. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN PROVE TO ME THAT THEY ACTUALLY HAD 100% CLEAR RESULTS FROM LASER TATTOO REMOVAL, EVEN IF IT TOOK YOU 10+ SESSIONS????

I am having a very difficult time finding ANY evidence (other than Photoshop on a spa facility's website) that laser tattoo removal actually works. Yes, it fades, but does it REMOVE the tattoo...or is there ALWAYS remaining "ghost" outlines/traces/scarring?

ANYONE who has undergone this torture with COMPLETE RESULTS, PLEASE...help give me confidence that I am not throwing away my next session's money when it could feasibly go to an outstanding tattoo artist for a cover up and rid me of this misery.

THANKS!!

***Btw, my 3 tatts were pick and poke crap...bc I do love tattoos and would get a professional one. I just invested so much money already...I am kinda hopeful? I can post pics of my craptacular pick and pokes if you guys want, to see where I'm at 6 sessions deep***

Thank you for posting the kind of laser you are having used on you - very helpful info! If you are comfortable please do post the pictures, especially if you happen to have "before" shots.

I have to admit, this made me giggle "(other than Photoshop on a spa facility's website)". Its difficult to place too much hope in those photos, isn't it?! Anyways, hopefully some people who have actually had full removal will be able to share their stories with you. :)

Yes Megan, That would be excellent considering that's why we seek out this treatment to begin with. THanks for commenting!
I have never seen 100% clearing of a tattoo, however on this site one of the members is on I believe session 14 and his large arm tattoo, all black is near gone, Megan can probably help you find him, I think h is " have patience and is in California. I try to say, never give up, but I hear exactly what you are saying, I am doubtful mine will ever be completely gone, but I am also going to try, and if it does not go, then cover up is fine. Best of luck to you and your search for confirmation of removal, it's a tough one.
Hey Blackberry11, Thanks for your comment and referral. I keep browsing this site (when I have free time) to search out end/near end results. It always seems to start off really strong w/ the fading, and then taper off to where the results appear less and less visible. I guess I am just at the point where I am either going to get a cover up or excision b/c, although it has faded, it still remains. ALso, the continual damage to my skin is kinda freaking me out; there is some redness and the texture may be changing...my body is really struggling, and my tatts are SMALL! Btw, I did see your tatt and blog; I hope you are coping well w/ your treatment! It sure is a great undertaking. I wish you the best as well and thank you again for commenting!
I am also on maybe a 18 to 20th session on my arm and similar my back...as explained before, the power of laser etc had definitely prolonged the time of my removal. Sadly. I stop counting the times I went plus the clinic in UK lost my paper work and initial photos (so unorganized). I think you can achieve it but takes time and patience. And also if there is lines or just blocks of inks, this is much more difficult. I hate to look at them so I keep mine privates but I swear once finish the treatment...who knows when but Im in Buenos Aires until mid august I hope I only have 10% left to go and then I see how I carry on in Uk with out anaesthesia and just emla. Ha.
Thanks for your feedback Narci! I was just curious to see REAL results b/c I am an avid photoshop user (it is not difficult to use the clone tool) and I have even seen a few "results" from spas that show 3 diff pics: 1 before tatt removal, 1 during, and the final results all cleared up. The problem is....the 2 pics (b/f and during) are obviously the same are b/c you can see the veins are the same in the photos...but the "final" results pic is obviously a different arm b/c the person's veins are different LOL!!!! So needless to say I am NOT a believer that anyone will ever see 100% results. Props to you for going that many times..I went 7 times and decided to cease all laser treatment b/c it made me soo sick last time I went b/c of the ink and the laser. I wish you the best of luck during your process, and thanks for commenting!!
Yep, me too. Im curious to see one result. I told my doctor here last time that I cant imagine my life with out this treatment...as is really frustrating the amount of time and pain. I dont care about the money anymore, I just want my life back...my skin back. 7 times is like the 3rd of the times I had been. But I understand you. Maybe Im more willing t get rid of it because Im more determined to get rid of this depression because of it. Is either get rid of it or I commit suicide I swear. i dont want to live my life with this horrible feelings anymore. I cry sometimes until I throw up, specially after a treatment.
Oh and my doctor said he promised me he seen results and that it definitely goes. Only reason I trust him is because we are good friends now.
I saw you pics, you look like a beautiful women, your back is beautiful - don't be so hard on yourself, life is worth more than a stupid tattoo, just say "screw you tattoo" and take your life back, you are on the right path.
That's cool; I mean, maybe after 20 times it may finally be gone..but being quoted at 5 times and the reality of 20...now there's a BIG difference there! I just think the laser is physically making me sick by stirring up those ink chemicals and just the trauma to my body alone. I tried to overlook that concept, tried to push myself through these treatments and "be strong", but it wasn't the physical pain that I couldn't tolerate, it was the psychological feeling I would get...like I was an alien or something. I know the feeling of insecurity and shame w/ yr body, b/c these treatments made me feel ugly...but feeling like that too long can cause mental issues. I guess we all take a gamble getting this treatment...I hope you get the results you want soon! I feel great knowing this is finally over! Take care and best wishes :)
Yes is true is mental very traumatic. I have anxiety...depression...suicidal thoughts...now Im a bit better because with the anaesthesia it doesnt hurt as much. And I do see much more results. After the treatments yes, you can feel sick because of the pain. Mine is on the back and is large, so is a lot of pain. Yep, I had been given maybe 10 sessions and it was going to be gone but no. But I love my life too much when Im happy...and i achieved that by making a denial (not looking myself in the mirror or thinking of it) but that lasted a few years and until I discovered in 2008 of the laser removal...since then, it has been crazy but was crazy before cos I got this tattoo in 1997 and I hate it since then. Im not even old, Im 32. So now that Im in the last stage...I just cant wait to have my skin back. Anyway...regarding the chemicals...I did not research that but always thougt, what if I get skin cancer after so much treatment and trauma...but I hope not. And is either geting rid of it or commiting suicide, I know this. Is sad and crazy but is the truth.
Hey, if it's that bad, you are making the right decision...only you know yrself and what is best for you. I truly hope you regain yr happiness and complete yr removal process to a point that satisfies you!! Don't lose yrself over this!!! Everything I said was just from my experience and opinion, to each their own...take care of yrself! ((((((hugs))))))))))
