So I wanted rhinoplasty since I was 12 when I had first learned about the procedure. I had a large dorsal hump and just all over not very feminine nose and was always made fun of and known as the girl with the big nose. When I finally turned 18 my parents agreed to let me get it done! We went to a local plastic surgeon who was recommended and he did an ok job. Not many people even noticed I had anything done. It was definitely better than what I had but still was large with a projected tip. So 2 years later Without doing any extensive research I found another doctor to get the tip taken down a bit. After that surgery I noticed no size difference except a change in my nostrils which left them a little uneven looking and a very small weird foreign object that was left underlying in my skin that my facialist was able to get out and left a small scar. I am now 28 and for years still have been contemplating revision. I still hate my nose and I even edit in some pictures that I post online. I work in the beauty industry and surrounded by mirrors all day. The first thing I look at is my nose every single day and I just can't let it go. So here I am, I have done a lot of researching and 2 years ago went to about 5 different revision specialists for consults and have another consult in 2 weeks with my top pick. He has also done work on someone I know who referred him and has a similar story and her nose looks phenomenal. I have been saving these past few years and just really putting thought into it making sure this is what I want. And I am now ready!! I will post photos soon

I think you look beautiful and I think your nose makes your face look very unique and gorgeous. I wouldn't have a revision if I was you. Honestly you look stunning! There is no need.

Thank you! I appreciate your kind words! I know my nose is not in the worst condition but it still is just the only thing that I feel is still holding me back from just being comfortable with myself.

i see the deviation, bulbous needs refining and tipping slightly up. Nostrils are also not balanced.

If you want another recommendation, I'd take a look into Dr. Kassir. He's in Wayne, NJ. I had my primary done with him about two months ago & so far am impressed with the results

I see what you don't like about your nose. You're very pretty nontheless. Please keep us posted on your consults. Thanks.

Hi. You're just beautiful as is.
Please be aware of what he will do (grafting? Breaking/resetting/narrowing of bones?) as much as you gone, risks, and reversability or alterability if something goes wrong or something happens you don't like (e.g., if he resets bones and they heal crooked). Please know his revision policy and ask when he will modify something and within the time frame.
I went to someone who not only left me crooked, he has a revision policy set up so that he can charge me again full price for whatever he decided not to cover.
I can see whoever did the first rhinoplasties never really cared about supporting your nasal tip.
Please make sure this surgeon cares about keeping your septum straight and so that you can BREATH after surgery. My nose was narrowed into a flat blob, to an extent I'm basically no longer breathing through the upper portion of my nostrils. I have no projection--it is flat, and wide.

Wow you brought up some really good points. Thank you for commenting on my post, these are all things I will bring up in my consultation. May I ask who was your revision doctor?

You are beautiful! My nose looked similarly after my first rhinoplasty and I was so glad to get a revision. It looks like you're doing your homework on surgeons, which is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing your story! I hope you'll keep us posted through your revision journey!
