WORTH IT$8,300
I’m so excited – this year I am approaching a monumental birthday in October and last Wednesday 4/4/2018 I made the decision to schedule my MASTOPEXY Breast Reduction /Lift. I have had large breast for my 5'0" inch frame most of my life. It is time for my next phase of body contouring.
Now I am One-week Pre-Op. Yesterday, I have my Pre OP appointment with my PS. She was great and spent 2-hours setting expectations and preparing me for surgery. We reviewed my photos, I was measured for a post-surgical bra. To my surprise I was a 33’ inches under my breast and current bra size was a 32H and I have been wearing a 36F brazier for the last year. Talk about BIZARE! I spent time with the Gabrielle the patient coordinator and the nurse who will be present during surgery. My surgery will be performed at the Foundations Surgical Center at Fort Washington on Tuesday, April 17th., 2018. My prescriptions and after care products were provided upon payment of surgery.I had so many questions including the following which my doctor took her time, graciously provided the answers and educated me:1. What is my ptosis? Severe, currently my nipples are current below my elbows at 35 and 33 centimeters.?2. I have always had a tear drop shape; Is it possible to achieve high round breast??Not without implants, however, I will have a more youthful shape (I should not expect my breast will look like they did when I was 18-years old.)3. Can you get me to a C Full Cup - without losing the nipple blood supply? No, I can expect a Full D from a H cup with higher positioning and lift off of my stomach.4. Where can I anticipate nipple placement? Two to 3.5 inches higher and With a lift can I get a deep crease with volume? Probably not without implants.?5. Will the chub fat be removed during this surgery; axilla or tank topper tissue be removed during this surgery? No, this can be removed with Cool Sculpting.6. My breast are uneven, will this issue be rectified? While symmetry is not guarantee. The goal is to make them as even as possible in the new position. Currently one of my breast is two inches longer and 1-inch wider.7. I would like a smaller forward facing areola, can that be accomplished? Yes.?8. Will you be using the anchor technique? Yes?9. How long is the surgery? 2.5 - 3 house. 10. Will you be doing any liposuction during this surgery? Some base on the size of my breast.11. Is there any way to avoid a vehicle scar? No, if maximum lift is desired as discussed.?12. Will I be under general anesthesia? Yes.?13. Will I have a drain for each breast? Yes.?14. Will I have both internal and external sutures? Mostly internal, a few external.15. Will you be using a mesh product for support? No.?16. What medications will be prescribed? Clindomycin, Hydrocodone-Acetamin, Silvadene (OTC- Tylenol if needed)?17. What are the immediate risks and complications associated with my procedure? Death, Necrosis, DVT, Paralysis; if a fever, nausea, vomiting, reediness, swelling, heat or foul order from wounds are apparent I will call my doctor’s office.18. How can I expect my lifted breasts to look over time? New position of the nipple, some scaring, alleviation of back pain, shoulder strap digger and the ability to wear halters, strapless and better fit of my clothing.?19. During the healing process what signs should I look for or report to your office as an issue or concern? Pus and fowl orders coming from the sutured areas.20. When will my dressing and bandages be removed? The doctor does not use Steri-strips. Bandages should be changed daily.?21. What should I do if bandages fall off? Bandages should should be changed daily.?22. What is the typical healing time? First 2-weeks – only sleep on back. 3-6 months; 1-year to see final results.23. When can I return to work? One-week if there are no surgical complications24. How long do I have to wear the post-surgery compression garment? Six-months of soft support is recommended.?25. When can I resume normal exercise? Walking (beginning with baby steps) the day after surgery. Low impact exercise can be resumed in 6-weeks.?26. What is the after / home care treatment for healing? Photo attached; antiseptic skin cleanser, 4x4 Bandages, Silvadene, dermHA face + body wash, dermHA Theraputic cream, Vitamin C, Iron, Arnica, Bromelain, Colace, prescribed oral antibiotic and pain killer, Tylenol or Ibuprofen.27. What is the best treatment to reduce scaring and how soon can I begin that regime? Once the incision are healed or closed (not bleeding or draining) scar treatment can begin.?28. What are my options if I am dissatisfied with the outcome? There is a year of follow-up to address any abnormalities, infections or unusual scaring. After my last surgery, my sister picked me up and drove me 90 miles home from the hospital then spent night with me. She left in the morning and returning to her home in NYC. Did I mention she drove me insane after my Brazilian Butt Lift in December from the time she arrived at the hospital until the time she left my home (did not help me to the bathroom, get my clothes off, or eat – she did want to talk all night). I will not make that mistake again, this time. Since my guy is also afraid of blood and bandages I have convinced him to hire Home Helpers Home Care for me – they provide transportation from the surgery center to my center city apartment. The stay up to 24-hours to assist you with going to the bathroom, food, beverages, dressings and medication while you recuperated from surgery. I’m excited and expect I will be nervous all over again by the weekend.

T’was the Night Before Surgery
I am on my way to see the NBA Heat vs. Sixer’s Playoff Game and I am so excited. My dude wanted to take the edge off and nervous jitters I experienced prior to my BBL. The day has been a great and everything is going according to plan. My doctor’s nurse Tina, phoned at 11am to confirm my surgery for tomorrow. I ensured she was able to get my presubscription for [Benadryl] called in my pharmacy.
Exactly 30 minutes later the Surgery Center call with my expected arrival time 8:45a for pre-op preparation. With surgery start time of 9:30a. I was informed the procedure would take approximately 3-hours with and estimated recovery time of 2-hours. Of course, I cannot eat/drink after mid-night. It was recommended that I bring the folder the doctor office provided me at my pre-op appointment. I wear sweats Zip/Button Top and Pants easy to get in and out of. Not to bring any jewelry or valuables.
I immediately, called my In-Home Care provider. To make my final arrangements for pick-up Rasheda Ferbee will arrive at 730a to escort me to the surgery center and wait.
Well it is after mid-night – I will up on the other side.
