Did you find anything out about exparel? I think I've read a couple reviews about people who've used it, but I am not familiar with it at all.
Well ps uses it. It's an extra 300 that injects into the tissue and suppose to last for 72 hours . He said pts response well to it. Hmmm but I haven't talk to anyone with it
Type exparel in the search box here. There are others who have asked about it. I love this website!
That's right haha I totally firgot
Hey and congrats on your booking. Will you be posting pics soon? I would love to see you pre op.
Hey I'm like the laziest person ever!! But I will post pics soon! My dates has to be change to April of next year cause work won't approve 3 weeks off... So saf
Oh no !! Listen I know the feeling of excitement but sometimes patience is definitely a virtue . Everything happens for a reason and look at it this way , you get more time to save up. I saved up for 2 1/2 months and paid my surgery off in cash sheesh and watching that money leave my hand I thought about all the bags, clothes , vacation , food , drinks in the world that I could get . But I'm also glad I pushed my dates back twice because I has someone here to help me every step of the way that I didn't even think I needed help with. I'm still excited for you though so keep us posted. You may never know.

Does any have experience with the exparel pain injection? Does it worth I think the extra 200 bucks??

Need to stop

I seriously need to stop being a chicken and book a date. For some reason, I think working in the hospital make me more afraid of medical stuff!!! Ahhhhh

Hi Kay! Did you go on any more consults? I went to see dr eisenberg yesterday even though I already booked with dr Ganchi. I wanted to see what is so great about him since he is supposed to be the breast implant guy in this area. Consult went really well and his price is $1500 cheaper than my ps. We really liked a lot of what he had to say. Eisenberg said he does do silicone, but overall, I just got the vibe that he prefers saline and that's why he does so much of it. Also, when hubby asked if he does more silicone now in recent years, he said that his practice is still mostly saline because that's what his patients want. That was really surprising to me because every other ps has said exactly the opposite -- that silicone is more popular. Also, he made some statements about silicone vs saline that implied that they feel the same when touching the breast. That is so not true. I touched a saline patient vs silicone patient and there is a big difference in squishiness in my opinion. So, if I was getting saline, I would definitely go with eisenberg, but because I'm set on silicone, I feel more comfortable sticking with my original ps choice. I hope I don't regret this decision! Lol
It's depends on how much breast tissues you have before he surgery. In my case I will def feel the implants and def going to have rippling.... I want silicone now I think...I mean gazillions ppl chose silicone so I think you made a right decision hahaha.
BTW why were you so set on silicone again if you don't mind sharing. Someone need to encourage me into getting silicone
When I made the decision to get implants, I hadn't done any research at all. So hubby did a ton of research during his initial shock after I told him. When he finally accepted my decision, he gave me all the info he had found, and we both decided silicone was the better option for me. Luckily, cost isn't a factor for us so we went purely off how they will look and feel since silicone implants have the look and feel of real breasts, and have a lower chance of creating ripples and/or wrinkles on the skin. When I told dr eisenberg a few times that I really don't want the round look, he also said that saline will look more round than silicone. So that just solidifies my choice of silicone even more. I am concerned about the possible health effects if the silicone implant ruptures, but I plan on having my obgyn recommend MRI for me instead of a regular mammogram every year. I'm hoping that my insurance company will go along with it and then I can monitor my implants.
http://www.realself.com/question/how-do-choose-between-silicone-breast-implants-and-saline-breast-implants The link has some good answers from drs regarding the difference.
Yeahh that's the reason why I wanted silicone. I also don't like the sound of " silent" rupture. MRI sometimes can't tell if the implants are rupture or not tho. It could be a fold blah blah blah. Then that will be another surgery for nothing. I'm sorry I seriously doing waaaaaaay tooo much research!!
Lol. Yes, what you're saying is true. I'm willing to take the risk. I have my fingers crossed that everything will be ok. I'm already unhappy with my boobs so if something happens and I have to remove my implants, then I'll be back at unhappy. The reward greatly outweighs the risks for my situation.
You are right!!!! I never thought about it that way hahhaha!!!it can be worse than what I have right now. Thank you for that I think silicone it is for me too
My PS told me silicone has a more natural look and feel over saline. He did the opposite of your surgeon. He pushed aside the saline implants during our consultation and told me how silicone is covered with a great warranty and is definitely a better choice. He told me, if the implants rupture, the silicone stays in it's shell where as saline implant rupture will leak and deflate. So you have NO CHOICE to replace that implant. Silicone still stays in place so it's less of a rush to get replaced. He said the risk of rippling and hardening of the breast is higher with saline. Overall, to him saline is outdated.
Thank you! I have decided to go with silicone!!!! Yay. But not until april because work won't approved vaca until then. So damn long
Congrats on booking a date! Sorry you have to wait so long until April. The wait sucks. I booked over 4 months in advance and it's driving me crazy! November 7th cannot arrive soon enough.
