My belly button scar still looks horrible. And I am still swollen -____- the swelling from my belly button to my scar is constantly and never goes away. I definitely thought my belly would be completely flat I'm starting to think maybe my surgeon needs to perform more lipo in that spot and a revision on my belly button. He keep telling me the scar on my belly button will fade hit it has not faded even a little bit and it's been 5 months. Some days I still get SO swollen also I look 4 months pregnant sometimes

I haven't posted in awhile because really nothing's changed. At first I felt like I was so happy to have my extra skin gone and I am but I'm very unhappy with a few things. The scar around my belly button is outrageous and when I voice my concerns to my doctor he says it'll all clear up within a year but I've never seen any other women's scar as big as mine is around my belly button!! It's so frustrating that I can't wear bathing suits or things showing my belly button I see so many women in swim suits only a few weeks after their tummy tuck and their belly buttons look awesome I'm so discouraged it's really starting to get to me. Also I am swollen constantly idk if this is my final result of what but my stomach is never [RS bleep] flat and that really pisses me off. It's not fat because I've lost weight. Why did I pay so much money to look 3 months pregnant all the time? I still wear my binder around the house because if I don't I look like a balloon about to pop. My surgeon told me if I'm not flat to come back in 6 weeks but I see no improvement. 12 weeks is supposed to be the lucky number and I look exactlyike it did 2 months ago. I really think I'm going to need a revision which is really it irritating. I'm so over this. Can someone please tell me they have been through this and it gets better? :(

I'm sorry that your progress is frustrating! We have our surgery about 10 days a part and it seems like our results so far are similar. I too have an ugly belly button. I had breast aug 9 months ago, the scars were hidden so I didn't care if they were faded or not. But to my surprise, today I checked them and they are 99% gone. They are less visible than my bra's line. My point is that maybe in 9 months or so our belly button scars will fade a way also... Right now, mine is like the sun too :-)
About the swelling, I realized that I swell a lot more than other people because I have a wayyyyy active life style. The days that I don't work out and just being lazy around the house, it's not as swollen...
I actually think your tummy looks really flat and nice!

Thank you! It looks flat because I took these in the morning by the Afternoon I look 4 months pregnant :( thank you for the encouragement lol I'm really hoping the scar on my belly button goes away it's so frustrating. I was happy I found your page because I haven't found another women with a scar like mine yet so now I don't feel so alone lol

Oh boy, I hear you, friend! Yup, by the afternoon I look 4 months pregnant too. I just posted a question for the Dr's here on RS about this swelling, waiting to see what their thoughts are!

Let me know what they say please! Hopefully they don't just tell you to follow up with your plastic surgeon they always do that -__- it's like gee thanks that really helped haha

have u tried the silicon sheets? they really do help with the scarring. I went to Gabay in 2006 and never again. I wish I would've educated myself as I did with my recent sx..He needs to stick to being an ENT. Keep ur spirits up xoxo

Yes I've been using them but not on my belly button maybe I will try us using them in my belly button as well

This is the link to my question. I got one answer, I like that Dr. Pousti (who replied to my question) very much. I followed him and learned a great deal from his website. Yes, he told me to continue to consult with my PS, BUT he also did offer something more than just that :-) He's a great guy!

Post op 4 and a half weeks
I really didn't start feeling normal until 4 weeks. I'm walking pretty much straight but after a long day or if I'm tired or eat a big meal then I walk hunched over still. I have very little pain anymore. It still hurts when I sneeze or cough but not as bad. I've stopped posting pictures on here because I found a profile of someone copying and posting my posts to their page. It's very creepy and makes me feel uncomfortable so I don't think I'm going to post anymore pics. I'm very happy that I finally got the Stitch that was stuck in my belly button out today! I'm so relieved. I can't wait until I can start exercising again only two more weeks!!! I'm still extremely swollen even more so than I was in the first two weeks. My swelling started to get bad around 3 weeks and had been getting worse. I get very paranoid that it's not going to get better and that it's going to be my finally result. My stomach sticks out way more than it did before, my muscles don't feel as tight. When I push it it feels like swelling but idk. And I haven't gained weight at all so idk why my stomach feels so big or why the swelling keeps getting worse rather than better

Who the hell stole your pics and blog? Like wtf! They probably would do the same with me. Did u report them?? So dumb and immature!... And my stomach is still very swollen as well. Not like the first 2 wks but it's very swollen!! I hope it's better by end of July

Exactly it's really creepy. I asked hem who are they and why are they copying my stuff and they didn't reply. I saw it had the same exact tittle as my page has and I clicked on it and they copied my posts word for word to their page its very creepy. Real self doesn't delete anything except pictures it's their policy which I think is completely dumb
