Infini Review - Philadelphia, PA

UPDATED FROM tud51397

8 weeks after the first infini treatment

$1,900
So my hyperpigmentation still take so much time to go away, I was so impatient (I hate looking into the Mirror everyday and see from little to no improvement at all) that I asked my dermatologist at Ringfeild dermatology (Philadelphia) to do the Picosure focus lAser on my face. I got my first treatment done today (there are two more treatments to go for every 4 weeks) , and will post the pics after 3 weeks. Hopefully that the hyperpigmentation will go away soon.
To be honest, probably it is only one treatment of infini, but I only see a little bit of improvement on my skin texture, maybe I need more than that to see the dramatic result, but I don't think it is the right treatment for me because it was so intensive and take so much to heal (they said the redness would take 24 to 48hrs to go away, but the skin won't heal for at least 2 months).

Hello! I read your case and I have similar Asian skin too. What's your final take on Infini?
I dont think it was worth it to go through it. I stopped after one treatment and still have PIH after two months, might take longer to clear out the discoloration. If you actually want to go through with it, pick one that does have experience in dealing with Asian skin to avoid complication.
Dr. Davin Lim (on youtube) says that the Picosure laser is best for Asian skin, you should check out some of his videos. I just had the infini treatment and noticed smaller pores but also grid mark scarring (but this is suppose to be normal) hopefully this goes away as I also have ethnic skin. Goodluck!!
I'm curious to know why you didn't try microneedling with PRP first and did Infini right first? I'm asian too and trying to decide which to do (i heard microneedling was less intensive so less likely for PIH)
I am also Asian and have exactly the same experience with infinity RF. Now I am almost 6 weeks after the first treatment and I have redness and PIH. My plastic surgeon prescribed Pigmanorm cream which helped a bit accelerate the healing process but I can't describe the stress I have been through and still going. I had the choice I would not have done, it's not worth it to me!
i am sorry to hear that, yeah it is really stressful to deal with the aftermath of infini you the person who did it for you not careful. I tried Picosure focus with 3 treatments from Jan to May and it helped with PIH alot (thanks god!). You should look into it.
because my doctor said that microneedling is not going to do as much improvement as infini. And no one around Philadelphi has done PRP on asian skins, so I picked Infini first.

Thanks for the advice, I will give it a thought. All the best for you.
I have Asian skin and had Infini done. I had a couple spots of PIH after my first treatment most likely because of what I did (I tried to "accelerate" the healing process by gently exfoliating a couple crusty spots prior to a social engagement, which left me with slight PIH, and has since resolved on its own over a few months). Lesson learned after the first treatment, so my following treatments went smoothly with even faster healing. So, I notice a lot of complaints about PIH on this site without any details--did the consumer pick at scabs, try to exfoliate, follow post-procedure instructions exactly as written, get exposed to the sun, wear a hat, use sunscreen with at least spf 30 everyday and reapply throughout the day, etc.?
Hi did you finish your picosure treatments? How are you feeling? Did it help with scars, pigmentation, pores? Uneven texture?
Can you post after pictures

I am Asian and 25 years old. After long years of fighting with acne, I was left with acne scars. I have all kind of acne scarson my face (ice picking, rolling scars and box scars). They weren't too extreme, but I wanted to make a change. I went for a consultation at the office and the NP said that the healing would take only 48 hrs and it is as intense as other types of lasers. I was really looking forward to the treatments. I got my first treatment in December and I thought it would heal fast but apparently my skin was irritated and I was left with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It has been almost 4 weeks, and I am just afraid that it wouldn't heal properly. I am supposed to go back for two more treatments, but I don't think I can go through this trauma again. I am still so stressed over this treatment. I can just only pray that the pigmentation would gone. Or else I think I have to do something with it. I don't even know why I made this decision.

How are you doing now?
Hi, thanks for asking, the PIH would takes months to settle down. I will let you know in a month. But if it doesn't heal properly, I might have to go with picosure laser, which will help out with the pigmentation.
Stay with it and be positive. If you did your homework, from experience, it'll get better. Almost all members who have posted treatment here have said, be patient because the results you're looking for won't happen overnight.
Keep us posted! From what I've read, Infini is the best and latest laser treatment technology for acne scars out there.
Yeah, I have no doubt that it is the best treatment for acne scar, but it is too intense for my skin. I don't think I can go through this trauma one more time. It was really stressful. I will need to see the doctor again in March and if it doesn't heal properly on it own I will need to do something about it. I will keep you guys posted in a month
Please let me know how it's goes .. I am Asain with acne scar too .. so I would love to hear your result
I will post the update in a month. My advice to u is if you have a sensitively skin like me, try some non invasive laser like Picosure. If you insist doing this infini, please find the doctor who have experience in Asian skin.
What type of laser was used for the treatment? I used Erbium laser, which is more suitable for Asian skin.
This is infini RF

I had similar after Laser, but it resolved after few months...
Is the Infini very painful? I want to try Infini as Dr Weiner on this site has recommended Infini for my scars. The Laser was not painful. Just like a pinch.
Really, how long did it take for your pigmentation to go away? I am on my week 5 of healing. The infini was tolerable. It hurt at the first few mins and then you get the hang of it. You can sleep normally during the first night.
I had about 7 sessions of erbium laser over the course of 3 years. When the Doctor set the laser settings to strong it took 6 months to heal. Other sessions with low laser settings, it took 1-2 months...
