Third Rhinoplasty Operation but This Time It Was Worth It! - Perth, AU

Having had two previous rhinoplasty, septoplasty and turbinectomy surgeries with a reputable plastic surgeon in Sydney, I was left feeling extremely disappointed with the results. It was depressing that after all it had cost me, and the difficult recovery from such uncomfortable and painful surgeries, to now feel unhappy with the look of my nose. I knew I would never be satisfied until I explored my options.
After reading so many positive reviews about Dr Imani, I decided to have an initial consultation to see if anything could be done to improve it. My concern was mostly with the tip of my nose as it had been left too long for my face and pointier than before the surgeries.
Upon meeting Dr Imani I thought he was extremely impressive, he was very confident and explained what needed to be done honestly, which I liked. For the first time I also realised the advantage of choosing a plastic surgeon to perform rhinoplasty who specialises in facial surgery only, and not other parts of the body. With this speciality, Dr Imani has the unique ability to analyse your features and know exactly what needs to be done to balance your face.
Explaining that my previous surgeon had removed too much of my septum which had left it unsupported, Dr Imani would have to graft cartilage from the back of my ear to reconstruct my septum and rebuild my nose. It was going to be quite an involved surgery, however he managed my expectations well by saying it would never be perfect but he could make my nose look a lot better than it currently did, and that’s the outcome I was after.
I scheduled my operation but a few weeks before the surgery I became increasingly anxious as to whether I was doing the right thing, I didn’t know whether I could go through the process a third time. I made another appointment with Dr Imani and he reassured by going through all the details of what he would do and how it would look, he also showed me before and after photos of a similar operation he had successfully performed.
Seeing him at the hospital just before theatre also calmed me down, Dr Imani assured me that everything would be fine. When I woke in the recovery room I felt hundred times better than my previous surgeries and I could breath well. My ear was tender but I was surprised at how good I looked and felt. The recovery was a dream, I don’t think I needed many painkillers at all.
A year on and I couldn’t be happier, I did not expect a result like this. For the first time in my life I look at myself and my nose is not the first thing I see, it works perfectly with my face and I feel the most confident I ever have in my life. I cannot recommend Dr Imani highly enough, he is a brilliant surgeon and someone I look forward to seeing regularly for my other treatments.
