hi there,
14 months ago I had liposuction on ym calves and ankles , I waited until the year mark is over and kept wearing my compression for months because I kept reading online how swelling will take a year etc.. so anyway, I have now accepted the fact that I am not swollen and these are my legs!!! so I am NOT happy with the results, I have been to see 3 different doctors, who all said they can do a revision and take more out, I have booked my appointment with Dr Robert Goldman for the 18th october, he is goign to use Vaser lipo, which allegedly will produce better results and can take more fat out ... I will keep you guys updated on my surgery and recovery , it seems such a long time to wait!! but he cant fit me in any sooner,
has anyone had a second go at calf and ankle? I know they are not the most common areas to treat and some doctors I called said they wont treat this area, and not too many reviews and xperiences online unfortunately, so I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE ,who has done / is considering to do this area and if you are happy or not, and was it normal lipo or vaser / laser lipo ? because apparently vaser is better..
look forward to hearing from you !!!
sad legs :-(

Hi Melissa, I feel so bad for you that have to go thru it all again. I had the same problem finding info and a doctor that did this kind of liop. Luckily I found a fantastic doctor on this web site and I had vaser lipo on my calves and ankles last April. I still have numbness and swelling in my ankles but my doctor made a huge improvement. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Thanks!! Can I ask where did he place the incisions for your ankles and calves? How many in total for the lower leg?

He made 3, all near my ankle bone. One on the inside and 2 on the outside. For the calf he made one on the back of my knee towards the outside of my leg.
Also, my doctor told me it made no difference what kind of lipo he used. He said different types are used in different areas to make it easier on the surgeon. Hope that helps and good luck with your surgery.
