At first I was reticent to write this review because I'm young and not in a huge need for Botox, but seeing as there are so few reviews for cosmetic procedures in Perth (Australia) I thought it may be helpful to others. I'm almost 22 but have developed some premature wrinkles. I think I can attribute this to going on Roaccutane for my acne over the past 12 months. I had very lovely soft and wrinkle free skin before going on Roaccutane, though I did have some acne on my cheeks and back area. After Roaccutane I have been left with shrivelled lips (which I plan to deal with soon) and creases above my forehead and between my eyes. I seem to frown a lot more these days and my creases are only getting worse.

I have booked in to go to Bodyworx in West Perth for Botox this week due to my friend's great results (she is much older). The receptionist seemed reticent to book me in considering my age but once I explained my issues she was very accommodating. I will be seeing Ailsa, the nurse my friend recommended. I will update once I've had the appointment this Tuesday.

Hello, how long have you been off the accurate? Your skin needs some time to recover and re-hydrate. I also used Accutane in the past. I highly tech using a product with retinal (NOT retin-A) when your doctor says it's safe and focus on hydrating your skin, including your lips, and you may find this resolves on its own. All that oil you had previously was lubricating your skin and keeping wrinkles away. It just needs more moisture now to compensate. The Accutane is extremely dring - an aesthetician

It's been just about 6 months since I finished Accutane. Yes I have found my skin to be rather dry and rough, so I will probably do something about that eventually. I don't think I have been adequately moisturising my face or lips. I still plan to go ahead with the botox but I will pay more attention to lubricating my skin. Thanks for the advice x

Yes please keep us posted on how the procedure goes and post some photos if you can. I'm excited for you, good luck!

What do you have planned for your lips?

Thank you, I will do. The appointment is tomorrow so I hope to add some pre and post pictures with my review.
I am getting lip injections in a couple of weeks with a different clinic and surgeon. I think it will be Juvederm but I don't know all the details just yet. Very exciting. I will put up a review when I'm a bit closer to the date :)

So far I'm loving this result!

So I had my first experience with Botox yesterday afternoon. I booked in at Bodyworx in West Perth and saw Ailsa. I can't speak highly enough of her work, she is obviously very good at what she does. Once I had finished filling out my paperwork and got the all clear to get the injections by the head surgeon I went through to the injection room. Ailsa made me frown a bit as she figured out which muscles needed relaxing. She showed me on a diagram what she was going to do which was very helpful. I shut my eyes expecting pain but there was next to no discomfort. She was so quick and skilled that when she had finished I had barely registered any injections. The whole procedure took about 5 minutes. So far I really love the results. She made everything look really natural. I am still able to make expressions and gestures with my face but I am a lot more relaxed and don't frown all the time now. Better still I am much more aware when I go to frown so I can stop myself and consciously relax my face. Prevention in youth is key I think! I will update with pictures in a couple of days. The nurse said I should see full results in about 4 to 7 days. xx
