DAY OF PROCEEDURE - Review written1 hour after.
I bought a voucher on Groupon for this because it is Valentines Day this month and I am single. I am 48 years old and I look horrid in photos at this age so I decided to get my first tattoo ever today on my upper eyelids only because I read that this procedure hurts a lot so I got scared. Sue tried to talk me into doing both upper and lower eyelids at the same time but I am glad I didn't. She took her time on the upper lids and she was very easy to take. It felt like a little zapping shock across my closed eyelids and it was agitating and almost painful but it didn't really hurt much. My hands were clenched the whole time though. It felt like really hard scratching or something with a little bit of a zap.. The whole time I thought this was easy enough to come back to for the lower eyes later but not easy enough to pay for the lower eyelids right there. After she made 6 or 7 passes with a tattoo gun on both upper eyelids and put wet paper napkins on my eyes it was time to open my eyes, and I couldn't open them at all at first. I got a little scared of how hard that was, they just kept watering and watering.. Then I sat up and they opened just fine. It took about 10 minutes until I could get in my car and drive and it is cold and rainy today so the weather helped a lot. I felt absolutely back to normal and completely recovered by the time I got to the gas station before getting on the freeway to go home. I feel exactly like I always do before the procedure, no downtime at all so far! My eyes feel a little plumped but that fine. Except for the procedure this has been very painless...
However my eyelids are bruised all over the place and there was a little blood. I personally can not tell unless I look in the mirror. but it looks bad. Its all bruises though, not ink. I have very high hopes that this looks good for right now!
If all goes well in the healing process I will definitely go back to Sue for lower eyelids and maybe lips. (I am not sure about lips.) I have never wanted to do my eyebrows but that all the old folks craze. Permanent makeup is the most affordable procedure I have come across yet and I am very optimistic. My eyes are so bruised I cant tell yet. Sue can make lips look a little bigger and fuller with permanent lip makeup. Ill have to think about that later. For now I feel no pain at all. I am very happy with my decision to do this! I have never liked tattoos but this has been really worth it so far! If this works well I will do both top and bottom eyeliner forever with touchups!

Bruising occurs when the needle is used at a fourty five degree angle. (Unless you have had eyelid surgery). Remind your technician to hold her needle straight up when she is working, and you won’t bruise after your touch up..

Thank you for your advice Miss Debroyle. This is the most ridiculously easy ancient beauty secret that nobody ever thinks to do. Of coarse I wasn't ever looking for eyeliner tattoos on others, so maybe they did. Super easy and super permanent. Also super affordable.

Permenant Eyeliner Upper Lid -2AM the Same Day.
laurelgodFebruary 6, 2019
These are my 2AM pics the same day of the procedure. My eyelids are swollen severe! I feel no pain! Very easy to sleep on. This doesn't even feel strange. No pain at all..Doesn't look like it though.
The most swollen weird looking spot is in the corner of my eye closest to my nose where it is very [RS bleep] and swollen. Sue told me to buy some Aquaphor and very clean Q tips. I searched the net for post procedure instructions and they have specialty balms and stuff for this with coconut and aloe and beeswax and stuff but Aquaphor is very easy to find anywhere and cheap too. I went to Ulta Beauty for this and they did not have it but Walgreens did. $6.50 for the Aquaphor and $2.50 for the new Q-Tips and that's all I need for the nest few days. I am supposed to do this three times a day for either three days to five - or two weeks. I got that part from reading post procedure articles and watching videos all night long. This is the most swollen time and you cant tell how bad it got from these pics. My next set of pics the swelling went way down. (4 pm the day after exactly 24 hours.)

Eyeliner upper. 4 pm the day after exactly 24 hours.

This is my 24 hour post pics. I don't have photos of the worst swelling but that is gone and this is all greased up on Aquaphor. I feel no pain. Heck I haven't felt any pain since I left her office. It is strange how this looks so grotesque but it doesn't hurt one bit. It doesn't even feel strange. The Aquaphor makes it al slimy but Aquaphor is just Neosporin for cuts and burns and I've been using that for emergencies ever since I was a kid. I can't imagine anyone doing both upper lids and lower lids at the same time. I am looking foreword to seeing what the eyeliner looks like finished. Then I get to go back for more. Here are the 24 hour later next day pics. 4pm.
Good luck with healing! Keep us updated. I think lip tattooing looks interesting too!
