Great Customer Service, Just Not Super Great Results

Overall, my experience of lip tattoo or lip blush was good. I loved my makeup artist, she was very professional and the procedure didn't hurt but I didn't see super great results. It may have just been because I wanted a lighter color but my before and after photos don't show a great difference. I have slightly more defined lips (maybe?) but no added color, so at my free touchup she told me she would use a different brand of pigment and maybe I'll try a darker color so it stays longer.

I think they look great. Your lips look fuller and I like the color!

I had lip blushing done...I felt the same, so I went back and had the "full lip" tattoo done and it was a little darker, but I could only tell because there was a small patch that flaked off along the top edge that didn't hold the color well (or hardly at all)...it has taken a very long time for it to fade so that it blends in again. Overall, I don't think I achieved much by doing it. It is possible some people take the color better than others?? I wouldn't be against trying it again with another artist because at least it does make your lips a little fuller for a while and does give a tiny bit more definition.

I did it too but also not worth the pain and healing time(10 days). My sister said she doesn’t see any difference. Like all the pain for nothing. I chose bright red

Thanks for the comments guys! I'll post an update when I get my touch up. I'm also thinking the reason why my pigment didn't stay is because I picked at them on day 3 because they were so dry and driving me crazy! I felt like my lips were going to fall off..

1 Week Post Re-do Appointment

My makeup artist went ahead and did another full treatment on me for free since the pigment at my first visit didn't really take. She used a different pigment this time and we went slightly darker. I can notice a big difference now and it doesn't look unnatural.

The only bad thing was that my skin got really inflamed right on my cheeks below the corners of my lips from her rubbing the pigment off with gauze and it burned so bad later I had to ice it. It peeled really bad and I was worried it was going to scar. It still stings today so I'm hoping there is no residual effects. I noticed redness after my first appointment but it was not nearly as bad. It may have been because I had micro needling done a few weeks ago. I highly recommend waiting at least 4 weeks after micro needling to get this done. But I love my lips and I still get a touch up for free so I definitely recommend Mariah at Utah Facial Plastics in Layton. She's great!

I think they look great. I only had the liner done, so I still have to use lipstick or lip gloss.
