Perfect Corner Lip Lift!
WORTH IT
So I had a lip lift several years ago. Overall I was quite pleased with the results except I wished the corners had been lifted a bit more. It just seemed to look a bit hiked up in the middle, creating a “slope” that to me was unflattering. I had been reading reviews here on RealSelf about Dr. James Pearson in Hermosa Beach, CA. I started to do more research on both him and the corner lip lift procedure and everything I learned was quite positive. Plus I loved the Before and After pictures on his website. So I decided it would be worth it to fly to L.A. from my home in Scottsdale, AZ to have Dr. Pearson do the procedure. I’m so glad I did.
The procedure itself was much easier and with much less downtime than the full lip lift. Dr. Pearson spent a generous amount of time talking with me about my goals and expectations. He has a wonderful bedside manner - very calm, even-keel and confident. I could tell “this guy really knows what he’s doing” when it comes to corner lip lifts. He nailed it! Gave me exactly what I was looking for, - subtle, natural looking with just enough lift to get rid of that “slope.” I am thrilled with my results and grateful to have found him. He’s a “super specialist” and does face work only. No lipo, BBL’s, boobs...just the face. That resonated with me. A true expert. The incisions are so super fine and precise, you can’t even tell there’s a scar. Amazing. The recovery was pretty quick and painless. I was looking good by day 10,

Thanks for sharing this. I had a lip lift on 2.8.21 and my corners definitely needing lifting too - I think my horseshoe shaped lip is worse than yours. I love your results. I know Dr Mascaro in FL is known for corner lifts and I'm glad to know your doc does these too.

I'm so glad you posted abt this. I am doing a lip lift and corner lift with him in a couple of months. I think doing the corner lift is important when you have lips that don't show any pink on the sides. What he told me is that if a surgeon try's to lift the outside edges by just doing the central lift, you can look a little odd because of the difference in pink showing. It's more exaggerated after. Anyway you look amazing! How was your recovery? I can't see a scar at all!

The recovery for the corner lift was a breeze; with the original lip lift, I had a lot of swelling. In both instances, I was suitable for public view by Day 10. Since you are doing both at the same time, just plan on hiding out for two weeks. I wish I had known about Dr. Pearson when I did my original lip lift! I got a great result with an undetectable scar BUT I still have no tooth show when I part my lips in repose. Had I gone to Dr. P, I bet he would have nailed that for me, too! You are in great hands. Hi, thank you! The incision is made right along the lip line. It’s so fine and delicate, you seriously can’t even see any scar.

Before and After Photos - Closeup of Side View
Here are additional Before and After pics of my corner lip lift by Dr. James Pearson. A subtle yet impactful difference! Amazing what excising and lifting just a few mm of skin can do. Notice how the incision scars are virtually undetectable.

Where were the incisions made for the corner lip? Did Dr. Pearson use dissolvable stitches or normal stitches that had to be removed?

I had a corner lift about 20 years ago here in New Orleans. I actually got the corner lift before I got a lip lift. I am curious where your incisions were placed.

Here’s a close up shot, Before and After, of my corner lip lift with Dr. James Pearson. I went back to see him earlier this week, for a small Permalip implant in my lower lip, to balance my lips out a bit. So far, so good. But I will save that for another review lol !

Disagree. Look at the upper lip, the ends of each side are definitely lifted. It's the shape of the lips that is different.
