Wow, wow, wow! My experience with Dr.Feng and her team was absolutely fantastic!. Everyone was so kind and helpful, even when I almost changed my mind right before surgery. Dr.Feng is so knowledgable. it has only been 4 days and I'm not sure whether I'll be happy with such a small size. I had the explant and mastopex. So far so good, but it's only been 4 days. Went from 32d to 32a, so ther will be some emotional adjustment, but they will be the real me! Maybe fat transfer in the future,

I'm 4 1/2 weeks post-explant and have started having an issue with my left arm. Started throbbing and tingling about a week ago. Was bad enough Monday night that I went to emergency room to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack. They checked for bloodclots in the arm md neck, did a chest X-ray, EKG, and blood enzyme tests. Everything was clear. Arm is still hurting and tingling. I'm starting a round of steroids for possible inflammation. I called my surgeon yesterday but have not heard back yet.
I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this after their explant. I was having slight tingling at times in my hands before explant along with a whole host of other symptoms. Most seem to be improving, but this throbbing in my arm is completely new..

did you have lymph nodes removed? I think I read somewhere that the tingling can be caused by nerve issues. Some people even have it prior to explant. It sounds like you have had everything checked out, so you can probably rest easy knowing it's not something serious. Almost every ache and pain I have come across with my explant, my dr has replied saying "it's normal, let me know if it continues and we'll give you more pain meds".. sigh. Hope you start feeling better soon!

No lymph nodes removed. I thought maybe it was part of the normal process but still kind of scary! Knowing what other people are going through sure helps.

I did also but thinking it was nerves regenerating and finding their original place after being squished for so long. Mine lasted until recently, now only minor & couple times a week. I get some shoulder sensitivities and my pinky will tingle/throb. I also do not have full range of motion on my left. I had problems from my original implant (armpit). I do stretches and exercise & think it helps. Mine is a hundred times better since my explant. The body has to go through a lot to get back to normal & that takes time. I think its good u called ps as she will reasure u im positive. Hang in there girl it will get better!

The tingling in my right hand and my feet have mostly gone away since my explant; I thought I had read on another sight that symptoms sometimes worsen at first after explant but hadn't seen anyone on this site mention it. Thanks for the reassurance! It really does help.

Your welcome! Mine was all gone first week then 2nd week started to come back w/week 3-6 being the peek of numbness, etc..and then it started to diminish to where I now don't notice throughout most the day. Hope it continues to get better for u, scarry stuff! What did dr.say? The things we put our bodies thu is crazy sometimes. Keep us posted as u progress.

How r u feeling?

Quite a bit of numbness and tingling in the left arm, but the throbbing pain seems to have passed. Also have a small bump under right arm that is a bit sore. I'm going to just attribute all this to my body moving through the healing process. Thank you so much for asking!

Almost six weeks and a little disappointed
explanthappyJanuary 19, 2015
Almost six weeks, and I hve to say, I'm a little disappointed with my lift. I knew I would be small after the explant, but the doctor told me she would straighten up my nipples since they were more to the outside of the breasts from my original capsular contracture. They're still the same as before the lift, especially the left one. I'm wondering if an anchor lift would have done a better job than the lollipop.. For $14,000 I guess I expected my tiny breasts to at least be pretty symmetrical.. I think I'd like to do fat transfer, but thinking about a redo on the lift first..
Still having the tingling in my left arm and now my left index finger is really tight and numb. Doctor not really sure what's going on and doesn't seem concerned.
Sorry for the upside down photos; couldn't get them turned..

I know you probably really see it, but I don't see anything too uneven. I have been looking at fat transfer too. (For my crease thing). Most drs won't see you til 6 mo post op. Also not sure I want to spend more on myself, we'll see. At least we know thats an option if that's what we decide to do :) wishing you happy healing. Hoping things improve with time for ya.

I agree I don't see anything that is off, maybe it looks different in the pics......im pretty ocd and i can't really tell.......look at mine.........you'll feel better.....mine are totally off!

Funny, I think yours look way better than mine. Your shape and size are beautiful.

Sorry to hear about the numbness to your left arm and finger! That's frightening! There is a large bundle of nerve fibers under our armpit by the breast area. Perhaps the dissection of the capsule damaged some nerve fiber. Having function in my arms and finger is crucial for me to keep my job and livelihood, so I am thankful you posted this. I will really need to discuss this possible complication with my ps.

I do think you look great and I hope your numbness goes away and you regain the sensation in your left finger. Perhaps the surgeon can recommend possible physical therapy.

WOW -- for such a short time, I think you look great. I hope my upcoming explant turns out at least as good as yours -- I will likely be even smaller than you! I expect all kinds of weird pains and sensations are normal for several months, and if you think about it, when we first got implants, it took quite a while before they "settled" and some sense of normal living came about where we stopped thinking about them. Time is the healer I think for all of us in this boat.
