Surgery date is scheduled and I'm quite relieved however, worried sick about post-op pain and detoxing issues. I have mentor smooth saline implants that were put under the muscle in 2012! I have had so many medical problems that started several months post BA. It was only recently that I started to piece the timeline together and realized that my many of my symptoms could be related to my implants! Seriously? I could kick myself for not figuring this out sooner but so be it. Feel blessed to have found this web site and to be reading so many other women's stories. Thank you all for sharing.
After many weeks of research and reading I have decided that Dr. Feng will be my surgeon. I am scheduled for surgery on January 27th just 5 days after my 52nd birthday.
Trying to stay positive and grateful for all that I have and thankful that I have this forum to connect with other women who have been through this process or will be going foward with surgery.
I was a 34AB before BA and was told I would be a nice full C cup ( 350 & 375). Unfortunately, one of my medical issues was a 20 lb weight gain within 12 months after my BA so now I'm a 36 DD! I also have/had Bloating, tingling, numbness, occasional crawling sensations all over my body, terrible fatigue, ringing in my ears, joint pain, depression, poor sleep, migraines and anxiety! Fun times hanging out with me, right?
I thought I was losing my mind and became very depressed several years ago, isolating from friends and family and overwhelmed with life!
Thank you for listening! I hope that all goes well with my surgery.

Thanks very much! You are very kind to post your works of encouragement on my behalf. Just returned from work and am feeling so exhausted as usual and laying in bed. Can't wait to take my health back into my own hands. I know it will be a long process but well worth it. I am looking forward to a day when working several days in a row doesn't wipe me out for an entire week.
Thanks Angie and I will keep you posted on my progress.

I completely agree with your symptoms. I am having my implants removed Feb 16th in Toronto. I was going to go to Dr Feng, but found a surgeon here who will do them enbloc. She is a reconstructive surgeon. I am literally praying for a miracle. You will do well. I am sure of it. Implants are toxic.

Hello,
Sorry to hear that you are suffering with the same health issues I am but so happy that you have the courage to proceed with surgery. How fortunate that you were able to find a surgeon close by that will do enbloc! Good for you for having the courage to forge ahead. Honestly, I'm scared and worried about getting through this too and will keep you in my prayers. Implants are toxic and it's about time that we took charge of our health no matter what the FDA and other medical professional say!
Thank you for sharing with me and cheering me on! I will do the same for you! I've only had my implants for less then four years but the amount of time I've wasted feeling sick feels far longer!
Best of luck to you and I will keep you posted on my emotional roller coaster/ path forward and please so the same :)

Just read your entire story! Can so relate to your story and your question of why? I no longer exercise like I use to because I'm so uncomfortable so I can relate to you cutting back on your running! I ride horses and had to stop because it was too uncomfortable for me and my core and balance were off...throwing me forward on my horse and practically off. :) Funny image but sad.
Hopefully with your lift, tlc, and time your breast will fluff out/up and you will feel okay. My breasts were a mess before the BA so I have no idea what to expect. I told my hubby that I'm just not going to look at them in the mirror until they fluff up. Sure!
Anyhow, wine and therapy didn't stop me from getting my BA, so try not to beat yourself up. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Hi,
Hoping your recovery is going well! I'm 5 days post op and feeling better everyday. Had a lift as well.

I know how stressful this whole process is! Seems it was so much easier getting them put in!
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. Yes, you are right that this process is very stressful! So happy that you have already had your surgery and I hope that you are healing, both emotionally and physically.
Getting these implants in was an easy decision, almost too easy. I know I can't go back in time, but I wish I had researched BA as much as I have researched explantation. Honestly, there was no stopping me from
BA as I had always hated the way my breast looked and how asymmetric they were. I had one breast that was one size larger than the other! Oh well, now I need to focus on my path foward and be in the present. This is hard for me and I appreciate your support.
Keep me posted on your journey and I will do the same!
Thx you for your story!
You are very welcome.
Ugh! Do not even get me started with the FDA! Agreed, I will not spend too much time on regret like you suggested. Just need to forgive myself and move into the present and future. I have so much to be thankful for and I feel blessed to have finally understood the connection between my illnesses and breast implants!
I realize that my journey is just beginning and removing these devices from my body is only part of this process. I look forward to connecting with you as I proceed and wish you the best.
Thank you again for your support. I feel much better having finally reached out and shared.
Have a lovely weekend.
