I was excited from the minute I heard about the ingredient in glaucoma medication that would grow lashes! I am part Native American and I have little body hair and virtually NO lashes. Extensions weren't even the answer, as you have to have enough lashes to attach the faux lashes to! I learned as a teen model to apply strip lashes extremely well, but what a pain on a daily basis and while traveling. For my 60th birthday "makeover" this year, I am treating myself to several beauty "treatments."

I purchased Latisse through my Dermatologist and started Jan. 10. I was told full effects would take 4 months, but at 2 1/2 months - I am THRILLED. I am using an art brush to apply and am also using on my eyebrows. The bottle lasted 2 months, and the office staff at my doctor's office said that they use the product about 3 times a week after achieving full effects. My lashes are darker and much longer. I even had to trim 2-3 of them. I am waiting for them to get thicker, but the current improvement is so good that I would be happy if the current appearance was the full effect. I am sure some of my co-workers and my sister will be the next Latisse customers!

I am now past the 3 month mark with using Latisse faithfully. My lashes are a lot longer, but not as full as I thought they would be, and a few of them are stick straight - cannot be curled or mascara'd in any way to "join" the others. I am also having to use a Ton of concealer and eyeshadow to cover the darkening of my entire eyelid (a greyish purple). And no, I have not applied the product anywhere but the lash line with a very fine art brush, - making sure it is dry before going to bed. I'm not sure if this will be a permanent solution for me and may consider trying SmartLash.

I've never heard of the "straight lashes" problem before; that must be frustrating! Thanks for sharing your progress with us. Please keep posting and let us know if you try something else. I'm curious to see how other products compare.

At 4 months, I treated myself to a make-up lesson with a reputable professional artist who has worked in the movie industry. I had already discontinued daily use of Latisse, but her comment was "Ya gotta lose that stuff." Without makeup, the entire orbital eye area is dark. I have no idea how long it will take to get better! (Anyone else have this experience?) Again, I did nothing different/wrong in application. Her clients have had great results with LiLash, and I have already ordered it.
