ok so i am IN LOVE with my tummytuck after over a year... it's so liberating to choose to wear a girdle and that's only to squeeze into a sexy dress hahaha so i've lost a few more inches on the waist since my last posting.
I've checked out a few of the new post about others results and i am floored at how awesome these RealSelf members look! you guys rock

You look great! I'm thinking about scheduling the same procedure with Dr. Reedy. Based on your ratings you seem happy with everything. Would you recommend Dr. Reedy?

So i'm a proud mommy of 5, DJ-Summer,Madison,...
so i'm a proud mommy of 5, DJ-Summer,Madison, Xavier & Tommy. Needless to say, my 5ft frame has taken a bit of a beating. My body is not perfect (not looking for it to be either) but even loosing weight seemed to never really show in the mid-section. I'm ready to back the hated girdle away for good.
My surgery is scheduled for April 12th first thing in the AM. Crazy excited, but just as scared. Uuumm i've even (not kidding) finished my WILL and Trustee forms hahaha crazy i know, but I needed to be proactive. Will post pics

i'm so extra nervous today; i have about 14 days to go and i'm telling you, it's been the craziest few days mixed with tears, weight gain (guess i'm being a nervous eater... never was before) laughs, more tears, wanting to change my mind... but the stomach is a huge drag to carry around and plus i've paid my $$ so i guess it's a go hahaha
i was thinking... my husband has to enjoy this stomach? man that has to suck for him!hahhahaha but he never complains which has made me feel good but i'd like to feel good for a different reason now.
ladies (and any gents out there) i've taken pics of the BELLY (yuk) and i uploaded them to put on the sight but i'm still a bit apprehensive about doing it. but here goes!

4 days!!! SCREAM!!!!!!!! i'm so nervous and excited, i haven't been able to sleep in like 3 days, well some sleep but nothing like what i usually get. anyways, keeping busy... staying positive, i'd like to be a part of the "already done the surgery, flat tummy" club already!
well i will have my 7 year old's BD party this wknd to keep me busy, so i wont be on here much but keep me in your prayers! i'll let you guys know how it went

OMG OMG OMG... SO TODAY IS THE 1ST TIME IM SEEING MY FLATTER BUT STILL SWOLLEN STOMACH AND GEESH I COULD REALLY CRY! I'M SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. SORT OF NUMB IN SOME AREAS AND IN A LITTLE BIT OF PAIN BUT NO WHERE NEAR WHAT I THOUGHT THE PAIN WOULD BE LIKE. IM NOT SURE WHEN I'LL GO BACK TO GET THE DRAINS OUT BUT I THINK THE WORST OF THE DRAINING IS OVER... BUT WE SHALL SEE:)

TODAY I GET THE LEFT DRAIN OUT AND THE RIGHT ONE WILL HAVE TO SAY IN A TAD LONGER, LIL [RS bleep]! BUT OH WELL... I'M DOING A LOT BETTER, IT'S BEEN 3 DAYS AND I'VE JUST STARTED TO CUT THE PAIN MEDS IN HALF, THIS IS AFTER GOING FROM 2 PILLS EVERY 4 HRS TO JUST 1 EVERY 4 NOW I THINK A 1/2 WILL DO THE TRICK::)
OH YEA AND I CAN LAUGH A LITTLE WITHOUT B N READY TO CRY HAHAHAHA

6 wks yesterday and i feel GREAT! wish the scale noticed how great i felt and went down but hey... it's ok! i'll take new pics soon just have been crazy busy.
things i've noticed... if you skip putting the cocoa butter on your incision for like a day, YOU WILL PAY!!! it felt like my skin was raw, uuuggg so painful! but after a few hours of putting it on regularly i was back to normal. i still wear my binder, not to bed though which is nice bc i have an extra tight one and i'd like to not lose consciousness over night hahahaha last thing is I CAN GO BACK TO THE GYM!!!!! yea me! i was soooo ready to start actually loosing weight and not just looking better because my awesome PS really did a good job in contouring my body lol kudos to him, but i'm glad i can do more then the treadmill now;) i'll take it easy, but glad i can go and challenge myself a little.
needless to say, the hubby is a happy man! lolUpdated on 22 Dec 2011:ok so it's been 8 months out... i still struggle with my weight OF COURSE around this time of year... but i make sure i do not over do it!
crazy thing is, i still swell like crazy and the scar tissue behind my belly button feels weird but all and all i'm a HOT MAMMA again! i get so nervous about IT coming back lol i've dealth with my old stomach for so many years that i literally still have nightmares about it returning. i know it will take a lot of food and little excerise to accomplish this so i'm always watching my food intake and work out like crazy lol hope everyone is well

did you just say that you're tired of your girddle? LOL guess what? We have to wear one even after the Surgery (For optimal Results) I did post a pic of the one that I just ordered (Yes it's expensive $85 so plan now if you wish) I just had mine March 5th, if you have any questions or need some tips of WHAT NOT TO DO!! Let me know

what the heck Katgirl... still? that sucks monkey balls for real. well lets say i want to stop literally unattaching the bar from the girdle from my back hahaha and for 10k and with the amount of cardio ive been doing, i'd best not need too much of a girdle after the first year hahaha
I finally got my drains out! Posted new pics yesterday and My Surgeon Had to assemble the Girddle (Medical Enhancement Girddle) up over my panties then he put the White binder over the Girddle.. Talk about Stuck this Morning when I was laying in the bed but honey! my Tummy is even more FLAT than yesterday!! It also may help to add that I had to get a prescription filled yesterday of Potassium pills and strong Water Pills. He says that I should lose about 5lbs per week after i started taking them.. Well You should ALREADY KNOWWWW that I had those Suckers Filled on my way home from the Surgeon!! Something must be working because I had about 10 Glares at Walgreens hahaha!!! So it's good. After you get past the 11th day or when those drains are out.. you're almost home free. and when I look at my stomach in the mirror it's like WOW!! I never thought I'd have this again!! My mother is even scheduling one and my sister is thinking "Now I have to get one" HAHAHA!! Good luck! Keep us posted! look at the Girddle that I had on.. it really does pull you in!
The Girddle has to be worn for at least a month..For most of your Days and Nights

I am going to get TT and BL/BA and lipo on my thighs. My sister is coming with me to care for me and just booked lipo on her thighs...she figures that if we vacation together we will be able to pass off that we are just Genetically perfect. Lol!

hi kat i have been reading yr posts, tommorow i am six days post op i would be very happy on tips of what not to do. i am walking about the house often and feel quite good today, although my back hurts, i only stay up and about for 10 to 15 mins then sit again for an hour or so...when did u first go out of the house for a little walk, any info will be gratefully received x

my girdle or compression garment is like cycling shorts and has a slit between the legs so u can pee lol
But the post-op girdle is only temporary, right?
Smart to get your forms in order, just for peace of mind. You'll do great and will love the way you look after. Do you feel good about your surgeon?
i do feel good about him... i mean as good as someone can feel about a Dr. but i am a total control freak and so with 5 children and still knowing that everything will be fine, i still needed to work out some kinks.
LOL..you are funny. You will be just fine and glad you did this.
I am only five foot one so know exactly what you mean about the frame!! There is just not any place for us shorties to hide the double muffin tops.

Your surgery is almost exactly one year to the date from mine. I can tell you that the results get better and better each month while you are healing.

kat i've read your post like the bible hahaha you are very insiteful which is nice. i've just gone for my 2wk appointment and i'll be going in on the 12th. ordered my garment and well just waiting for time to pass now.

Make sure that you walk around as much as you can it really does help you to stand straight up
by the 4th day i was just about standing tall with those freaking DRAINS hanging out (ugh) but me being a Shop O Hollic I was able to still try on some "Little" cute shirts and could imagine how they would be afterwards.

hi, i found putting on bio oil on the top part of my tummy around the rib area really helped me to stand up straight..it stopped that horrible pulling tight feeling, i am on the eve of day 8 and feel great, day 9 tomorrow yay!
but that happened to me a few nights ago, slept in a small compressor and girl when i tell you i woke up in the middle of the night horrified hahaha i can laugh now but at the time it just wasnt funny lol
