Hell all you lovely people-
I've again hit a stall. I am and have been stuck at 222-220 for the last month. I go down to 220 and back up to 222 my nutritionist and surgeon say that I am soon well. But I feel like I should be down more than 30 lbs by now. It's very frustrating, I don't know how to get the scale to go down. The Nutrionist said not worry on my calories intake cause it should not be much either way. But I am not sure cause the scale is not moving. Either way I am greatful for my journey.

How are things going now. I am currently going through the process the insurance require to have wls. I too have chosen Peachtree Surgical and Bariatrics (Dr. Titus Duncan). How are you doing now and have you lost a lot of weight?
Congratulations on the sx. I hope you have lost more weight. I would say do more of a protein liquid diet, you might see more weight loss
Im down to 214- i am not losing as much as I want. I am trying to lowet my calories intake I do 900-1000 a day. Trying to lower that to 800 a day. Have you had the surgery?

6 weeks post up

Hello all,
I am at my 6 weeks today I am down 251.4 to 226.4 losing 25 lbs.
I was on a stall from weeks 4-5 with no weight loss. So today when I weighted myself and saw that I had lost 4 lbs I was to happy.
I have started working out - Zumba, walking, px90 and Jillian micheals 30 day Shared. Trying yo working out 3x a week. So far so good, I find that when I work out I sweat so much it's crazy. But I like the feeling when I am done. I am also still trying to get all my protein and food in. That I can say is still a struggle. I don't know when I am over eating or when I should stop. So what I am trying to do now is 2 protein shakes as main meals and one meal, and slowly add back meals. Because I feel lost on foods to eat and quantity. I am also measuring things to help me get an understanding on how much my body can take to get full. I don't want to start to over eat and stretch my stomach out again, so I am trying to be very cautious of the amount of food I eat, plus it hurts when I have over eaten and it takes a long time to go down.
Let me know if you ladies have the same issues- love hearing from all of you. Still not ready to share pictures as no one knows I had this surgery- didn't want to deal with others expectations or drama. My immediate family is aware and they are all happy for me and encouraging but besides them no one knows.

Can you ask your PS how many calories you should be consuming per day? That way you could keep a food diary to ensure you weren't going over. I'm a week ahead of you and I know I couldn't physically eat more calories than I need, so I'd be surprised if you were over doing it, even if the stall suggests it. My nutrionist is asking me to aim for 50g of protein a day, dehydration causes lack of weight loss too, if you are exercising a lot and sweating it could be a concern. How much fluid are you drinking? How much protein and roughly how many calories per day?
AllieGB- The doctor told me to keep loosing weight anything under my BMI calorie which was 1800 would be fine. But I can't see myself eating 1000calories some days. I don't feel dehydrated, I drink about 4-6 cups of water per day. I do see where perhaps the foods I am eating are not the best. I find it easier to eat protein and a starch. And we know starch is not that good. So I am trying to eat and find healthier options. I have reintroduced salads in my diet this week, so I am going to start eating more greens. Thank you for you post and updates. How are you feeling and progressing?
June bug, maybe this will help? http://www.laparoscopicconsultant.co.uk/pdf/post-op-sleeve-gastrectomy.pdf
Hello everyone, I'm at 7 months sleeved. I had my ups and downs with weigh loss. I am 58 year old started out weighing 271. Had the surgery Jan.7,2014 today I weigh 222 that is only 49 pounds lost. Please tell me why am I loosing so slow? I As of today I started back on phase 4. Is anyone else having this problem
You may want to trick your body once u introduce any sugars or carbs back into which the body the body hold on for 2-3 days. The best thing to do is start a 2 day liquid to jump start loss!

Week 4/5

On my 4/5 week post op- and I'm not sure I am losing enough weight. So far I have lost 20lbs since my post op. I was 251 and am now playing between 230 and 228. It's very frustrating - not sure if I am over eating or what. I've been eating more solid foods like chicken, meat all soft but not really seeing the weight lose. Any suggestions on how or what I should do?
I'm trying to do my protein shake in the mornings but by lunch time I start to get very gassy and uncomfortable until I eat something. And then I feel better.
Any suggestions on receipes or how to get over this hump? I also started Zumba today and that was great! I have never sweat as much as I did today I felt great afterwards.
