I've always been a thin person, and exercise...

I've always been a thin person, and exercise always resulted in weight loss. When I reached 30, I noticed that my belly was accumulating stubborn fat that wouldn't go away. I exercised, dieted, etc. It was so much easier to tone and lose weight everywhere else, except for my belly. I started to think that not only could the cause be genetics, but stress. I had undergone a lot of stress with career change and loss in my family, so I started to think about getting help to remove this stubborn and unattractive fat. I'm happy I chose Dr. Wages. He has a calm, down to earth energy, and I just didn't worry or have a doubt that he'd do a great job on me.
It's now a month later and my belly is flat. It's still swollen and will be for a while, but it's way better than it was before, and I'm so excited about how much it will improve after the swelling subsides. I will warn you, though....It hurts, A LOT!!!! But, I did get additional procedures done. I had muscle tightening repair and liposuction. The muscle repair is what I believe takes longer to heal. You feel tight in the abdomen for quite a while, and I suggested expecting to be out of work for longer than you'd expect, depending on how overweight you are. I had about 10 lbs. of fat and skin removed. I'm 5'2" and very curvy, and my belly was very unattractive and fat before. Now I feel sexy and have my ideal body, minus the swelling and 20-30 more lbs., which I will lose once I'm cleared for high impact exercise. It was so well worth it, well worth going through this over and over again. The way I feel about myself is wonderful. The freedom alone of wearing form fitting shirts, and not having to suck in the belly or wear shapewear is priceless. I strongly suggest wearing your support garment for as long as you feel comfortable, because it's been a month for me since the procedure and I still wear mine for added support. Ok, so wrapping this review up....It's worth getting a tummy tuck. I'm happier than I thought I'd be. I have a normal belly button again, and I feel sexy and healthier. Dr. Wages and his team are great people. His facility is professional, clean, welcoming, and smells wonderful. If you live in or near the NorthShore, go to North Shore Plastic Surgery. You wont regret it, and you will feel great about yourself. I feel like a fresh canvas, ready to be painted and fine tuned. I can now sculpt the body I've imagined for myself through continued healthy eating and exercise. Oh, and don't forget to get a back pillow for recovery, or recliner chair.
