I had my belly button pierced when I was 22. My body rejected the piercing over the course of the 4-5 months that I had it. Itleft an AWFUL raised scar almost as if the piercing had been pulled out. It bothered me for the past decade. I had the entire scar removed and the skin was closed in a horizontal fashion to hide and be perfectly placed.

The entire office team with Dr. Wages was absolutely fantastic from my very first phone call to inquire. They were knowledgeable, informative, pleasant and completely professional during my entire course of treatment. Prior to seeing Dr. Wages, 2 years prior, I had gone to a surgeon at Lahey Clinic to discuss my situation. I never felt comfortable with that surgeon as he didn't really seem to understand what I wanted. He planned to remove the scar and use a vertical incision which would have been super noticeable and obvious. Dr Wages was absolutely wonderful and professional in every way. You can tell he is a master of his craft and he completely took the time to understand what my concerns were and what I had envisioned for the end product. He completely delivered and my scar now is very well hidden and I only wish I had it done sooner by Dr. Wages!
