PDO Nova Thread Lift. I’m 57 and am proud to look much younger.

Some background on me and why I was motivated to do this: I’m 57 and am proud to look much younger. I have had a lower face lift but it didn’t address the mid-face. Just the lower face and neck. My goal was to soften my nasolabial folds and elevate my cheek pads. I was very nervous to try this but after reading an article in which Gwyneth Paltrow extolled on the virtues of the thread lift, I decided to go for it! If it’s good enough for Gwyneth, then...lol you get what I’m saying. I did three PDO Nova threads on each side of my face. Gotta say, it was quick, easy and while it wasn’t entirely painless, it wasn’t too bad. There were a few moments of “ouch” but it wasn’t a sharp pain; more like a dull tugging sensation (hard to describe). And it was over and done with quickly. The results were instant. Subtle, not dramatic, but for me personally, a worthwhile improvement. Anne in the Skin Klinic at Dr. Shapiro’s did an excellent job. She’s very experienced doing thread lifts. My friend Kim, who is 54, took one look at me and said, “You look like a supermodel! I’ll have what you’re having please!” Within 48 hours she visited Anne and did two threads on each side. She toowas thrilled. We both looked at each other and said, “Welcome to your new addiction.” Anne said we can expect the results to last at least six months. So I decided to photos of my face pos threadlift and leave them upfor a month or so before taking them down. I just find the RealSelf reviews with photos to be so much more helpful than the reviews without. Seeing is believing! I went back a week after my threadlift and added a couple more threads on each side of my face to give me a little more lift. I told Anne, “Some is good; more is better!” I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see my cheek pads elevated back onto my cheekbone instead of at my nasolabial folds! Even if I have to do this every six months, to me it’s worth it.

For those who asked, here is a selfie taken two weeks before I had a threadlift. So as you can see, the main difference is the thread lift lessened the deep nasolabial folds by pulling my cheek pads back onto the cheekbone. Subtle but I can definitely see improvement.
