No Burn? No Brighter Skin!
meesh00August 1, 2019
Due to my sensitive, acne-prone skin, I have many acne scars. My face appears to have a slight rough texture on the surface, which made me self-conscious when I wear foundation. I came to Christine, my consultant, and asked her what facial treatments I can do to help with texture and acne scars. She was kind enough to recommend me the PCA Peel, in other words a "chemical peel". I was slightly nervous about the burning sensation I had read about on the internet; however, Sara Song, the Irvine esthetician, gently eased me into the treatment. She was informing of everything she was doing to my face, which made me feel safe and secure. I can definitely trust the staff members, Christine, and Sara to do a good job in taking care of my needs. As for the treatment itself, it was very easy. I did feel a burning sensation due to the chemical, but Sara thoroughly cooled down my skin with a fan. Sara is very friendly and approachable. I enjoy having our girl talks while doing facials with her! I became really red after the treatment, but of course, that is normal after doing a chemical peel. It was my first time doing a PCA peel and I was able to manage 4 levels of the peel. I peeled for approximately two weeks, in which my skin became flaky like that of a snake undergoing its shedding process. I was well educated not to touch my peeling skin. To help alleviate the itchiness of my face, I religiously applied a balancing cream by the PCA brand that Sara gave me after my treatment. After two weeks, my skin looked great! I got compliments of it looking pearly! I definitely noticed a brighter complexion in my skin and my dark acne spots appeared slightly lighter. I will definitely need couple more PCA peels done by Sara to achieve the skin I want.
