After losing weight by diet and exercise I decided on looking into having a tummy tuck and possibly a breast lift. My GP recommended Dr Jake Lim and gave me a referral to him to have a cyst removed and a quote for what I wanted. I was very impressed with Dr Lim from the first appointment I had. Dr Lim was very encouraging and explained the procedures he believed would work for me. I still wanted to lose another 10kg so he suggested coming back when I had achieved my ideal weight. I then spoke to his wonderful nurse Catherine who gave me a quote and made me an appointment to have my cyst removed. I was very impressed by Dr Lim's surgery on my cyst removal and his bedside manner was very calming and made me feel at ease straight away.
So 9 months later and my extra 10kgs gone,,, I made another appointment with Dr Lim and he explained again what was involved in having a tummy tuck and a breast lift. He also suggested Muscle repair and lipo. He assured me that I would get great results with my procedures! I felt very comfortable with Dr Lim and his staff and found him easy to talk to and he actually shows enthusiasm in his work. To be honest I didn't even see any other surgeons for quotes as I felt very confident that Dr Lim was the right one for me. He happily answers any questions you have and explains things very well. His staff are wonderful and very helpful. They make you feel like you have known them forever and are so easy to talk to. At no time did I ever feel rushed by any of them.
I am now 13 days post op and all I can say is Dr Jake Lim is a miracle worker!!! His work is absolutely amazing. He is very thorough with his care and Dr Lim saw me almost every day I was in hospital (8days) or if he could not get in due to other commitments he still rang the nurses to see how I was.
I feel that all along Dr Lim had my best interest at heart and he was so reassuring and made me feel that I was making the right decision.
I would recommend Dr Lim to anyone who is considering having the same procedures as I had or any other procedures. He is very professional yet caring and friendly and I felt I could trust him explicitly. I have had no post op problems at all and am home resting nicely.
All I can say is a big thank you to Dr Lim and his staff for changing my life forever. It has been an amazing journey made easier by a fantastic Doctor and staff and even though I have a way to go I couldn't be happier with my results!

Thank you! No I didn't have thigh lift but had a bit of lipo round hip area. Also the before photo was taken about 3 months before op and I did walk everyday on my treadmill so that helped. Photo light not real good on before photos! Lol

Thank you I am resting and enjoying the new me! I still can't get used to it. I went through my wardrobe and got rid of about 2/3 of my clothes because they no longer fit. The doctor took about 3kg off so I am now a smaller size!! I read on your profile that you are thinking about getting both a tummy tuck and breast lift at same time, well I did and I am very glad I did both together. I hardly had any pain with my breast lift and I think if I had of looked at my nice flat tummy and then saw my saggy boobs I may have been a bit disappointed as I think in my case I needed to see the whole change. Good luck with whatever you decide. Either way you won't regret it. Take care

Glad you're resting:) I so want to do both at once, it's just the costs involved:( I'm a full time student that will be going back to work hopeful in March. Living on student loans, grants etc. I want a new start! I wish I could throw old clothes out, but mine are all smaller!! I'm usually smaller.. So I've gotten 35 pounds off, getting another 10 off before surgery or so and hopefully another 10 or so after.. That's my plan. Had a very stressful few years! Long story. I'm starting anew and feeling like a new woman!!! Glad you're doing well!!! I'm coming up soon! Nervous and hope some how I can do both.. If I can get help from my fiancé, but he's covering many of our expenses. I'm grateful for the tummy tuck if that's it now!! Looking forward to your updates.

Congrats on getting that far with losing weight n looking stunning after surgery.. do u mind me asking was those photos have been taken just right before your surgery? I have booked my TT n BR with Dr Kevin ho at st Luke's hospital on 22/09/15 but after seeing his BR today on his new gallery am so scared.. was ur lift was ok?as am thinking to book consultation with him!! I will really appreciate your reply

Hi the photos were taken about 3 months before surgery. Dr Lim is a wonderful doctor and his work is fantastic. I am very happy with the outcome. His before and after care is excellent. I didn't get any other opinions as I was very happy with him when he removed a cyst from my back twelve months previously. Good luck with your journey.

Hi, hope you doing well. N have to apologize to bother you again..did Dr. Lim recommended body lift but you've done TT or right away he suggested tummy tuck..as I saw him last week n he really turned my head around but I still trusted him so much..ur reply would be really appreciated

Hi there. Dr lim only mentioned tummy tuck. It was actually written down as an Extended tummy tuck. He will be very honest with you. If he thinks that another procedure will work better then he will tell you. I am doing extremely well. I am still in awe of what he has done! Were you happy with what he told you?

To be honest, I wasn't able to sleep for the last 4days, he said I need a body lift as my skin stretched to the max after the twins so I don't need Lipo as it won't solve the problem but take the excess skin away..which they quote me $16000 for the PS n $4500 for the anestheastist. Which roughly $20000 after rebate..I definitely can't afford that..n none of the 5 PS I saw before suggested body lift or ending with muffin top after only TT as Dr lim..so I dunno what to!!! That of course I have to drop the BR too gosh...thanks so much for ur reply as I thought at least I will be looking at the same $ 14000. I paid which was roughly the quote from every single PS ..thanks again xox

Hi there. It can get a bit overwhelming. You need to step back and think about it. Dr lim is very good but if you are not happy with what he says then go back have a look at what quotes you have and maybe revisit them and ask about dr Lim's suggestions. It is a lot to take in. It has definitely changed my life. Good luck. Keep me posted.

I know darl. That's why I've already book another consultation to see Dr. Lim tomorrow as am really uncomfortable doing body lift n definitely way out of my budget..n if I'll be told that the result will be absolutely better but not the best I can get as he told me last time I'll still have a muffin top with my jeans then I'll go back to Dr. Ho n professor Anand deva n see..at least they were so affordable n told me I'll get great result as I don't need Lipo just TT with muscles repair n hernia fix..xox

Hi. Dr lim is very honest so don't be scared to ask him questions. I feel he was completely honest with me and did say I would have loose skin up top and that I could fix it latter if I needed. So I knew that when I did the TT but I have to say it came out pretty good and I am not worried about it. So just weigh up the pros and cons and go with your instincts. As I said before you have to be completely comfortable.

I can tell darl as he was the only PS who told me may boobs may saggy again as I got a lot of stretch marks which make it a very poor skin on top n the only way to get rid of the boobs bulging from the side is bra line lift which no one told me as I absolutely have no folds at the back..but the way he put the muffin top on the side was so discouraging as he told me my upper skin is stretched by twins pregnancy n won't be tight n then muffin top without body lift it was heart breaking but to be honest as much as I was upset n angry, the more I look at it as he was honest with the results so I won't be overwhelmed n then get shocked..I'll update u after my consultation with him tomorrow..cheers xox

Sorry for the spelling meant my boobs may drop again after surgery n told me my boobs'base r on the 4th rib not the 2nd as most women which put me at low base category which means again he can't lift them up to make them look perky n implants which I absolutely against, he told me it will be with no benefit..so wow..I'm in an empty loops

Yes boobs can be tricky. I only had a breast lift but I have to be really careful as gravity will take over again because of my age! I have stretch marks on top but you can't really see them but I have to wear supportive bras and I wear them all the time even bedtime. I had nothing on my back only a bit under my arms but this is smoothed down by my bra! Good luck tomorrow.

It's been a while since we chatted, but honestly I was feeling really down n didn't feel I wanna go n type anything. I went to see Dr Kim last Wednesday n he told me I have 19 cm to pull at the side n I won't be happy with abdominoplasty n I will come back for a full body lift, then got quote on BR n TT around $18000 n he said he won't discount his procedures even if I do 3 with him as its not about getting more done, but more about patient satisfaction, he was very honest n kind and assuring but unaffordable at all specially when they handed out his revision policy which was for a month only n after that u will have to do it on ur own cost

I'm sorry to hear things didn't go as well as you had hoped. It can be very discouraging but as I said before just take your time to decide what you want. It's true what he said about patient satisfaction. There would be nothing worse than going through it all and not being happy with the results. I was not worried about his revision policy as I thought that if anything went wrong it would probably of happened within the first few weeks. But again you have to feel comfortable with your decision and your doctor. keep in touch and let me know how you are going..

I will thanks, I've already contacted my other surgeon to discuss what Dr.Lim has recommended n see how we go, but I think i already know he gonna say his technique is different as he pleated the skin to avoid body lift which the skin will smooth out after few months, but the scar my look uneven which my husband thinks ,it should be the least to worry about rather than a scar goes all around my body..cheers

Thanks I really need it specially that I was told yesterday that the business I work for gonna close down in 2wks time as the owner declared bankruptcy..so after 6 yrs with them I have to start looking for a job..as if I haven't had enough stress..fingers crossed everything gonna be as I've planned at the end..xox
