Four weeks post surgery!

I finally snapped aome updates pics yesterday when I realized I've hit the four week mark! It's hard to take a selfie without my arm covering one boob! I'm super happy with them. They're finally settling down a little and I am back to most of my old activities except for pilates. My doc said I could do anything waist down but I've been lazy. I'll start again on Monday. I can sleep on my side but it feels weird so I haven't yet. I still feel like I have a lot of "side boob" so I hope that settles down some more.

Day 3 post op

Not much to report today. Last night was much better sleeping. I took the Valium and Motrin and only got up once to take more Motrin. This morning after my shower I can tell my left side is still more swollen than the right but I'm not too worried. I'm going to try to take it easy today, I feel exhausted if I try to do too much like Laundry or shopping. Still loving the new boobs! Can't wait til they settle into their final look so I can go bra shopping. I'm still wearing the same nude softie bra my doc recommended (I bought 2) and I can't even feel them so that's nice. Donating a giant pile of my old bras to charity!

Day One post op

Well, the surgery went really well, very quick and relatively panfry. I did ask for nausea meds as well as a scopolamine patch for seasickness. I took the patch off last night, though, because I felt fine and it as making me too sleepy.

Sleeping the first night was a little tough. I took my Percocet and valium at 9:30 but woke up at 12:30 with more pain. So I was able to take 2 Advil and sleep again until 3:00, then took the Percocet/Valium combo. I propped my pillows up and luckily I'm ok sleeping on my back.

The worst pain came when I had to swing my feet off the bed and sit up! I'm single so that was tough, but once I was up, it was OK. I went downstairs and got some potato chips to eat with my percocet so I didn't get nauseated or throw up. I can honestly say I've never eaten potato chips in my bed before, and certainly never at 3 am!

This morning I was able to shower and dress normally. My doc wants me to do all my regular things - she said move your arms, do your hair, don't try to tuck in and hold yourself tight. So I've been doing that, and I feel fine.

Today I'm only taking Advil and Tylenol for the pain and so far I'm fine. I already love my new breasts!! I know they're swollen and high, but they already look super great. If they can get better than this, then I'm totally sold on it. I can drive today but I haven't wanted to, yet. I'm still a little sleepy so I'll probably just hang around the house and watch daytime TV. yay!

I absolutely love Dr. McGuire! Not only did she come recommended by a doctor I trust, the entire staff is wonderful and the surgery center people said "oh she's the best, does the best work." She's not the biggest name in Saint Louis but she's ok with that. She even told me I didn't need a tummy tuck so she wouldn't do it! Too many other docs would do it just for the money. She realistically looks at the entire patient and what they need to look good.
