Wow! I can't believe how fast time time has flown. I've been resuming pretty much all my normal activities and have started to work out again. It feels good but I still can't really run yet because the soreness I feel on my hips from the lipo stops me. I took some pics last night so I can see the side by side from the day of surgery and even though I was swollen at the end of the day it is such a huge improvement! I can only imagine when all the swelling goes down how awesome it will be!! So happy I did this!!

Two weeks and 3days post op and I'm feeling like my old self again!

I can't believe it has only been two weeks since I had my surgery! I was on the black top with the other elementary school moms yesterday and those who know me, and know that I had the surgery could not believe how "up and about" I already am! When Dr. Parker and his staff told me that I would be feeling this way just 2 weeks after surgery I was a little skeptical. Aside from being tired earlier and sore first thing before getting out of bed, I am truly feeling fantastic! Yes, I'm swollen, and I still have the surgical glue that has to come off on Monday, but aside from that I am standing tall and feeling really good. His "rapid recovery method" is no joke!

Post-op lymphatic massages

I had my first post-op lymphatic massage last week and my second one today. I must say, it was the second turning point for me so far in the healing process, (the first being the removal of the drains) at first, the touch was so light I was not sure what it would do. The therapist explained to me that the lymphatic system is directly underneath the skin and therefore light touch is what is needed. Pressure increases with each appointment and today's massage had more pressure & felt amazing! It aides in the circulation and drainage of fluid. I felt so much better after my appointment (and of course relaxed after having any kind of massage on my sore back lol). I would definitely recommend post op massage to anyone having surgery. ???????? The Parker Center knows how to treat their patients for sure!

I have chosen Dr. Parker in Paramus to perform my surgery. I've seen first hand from friends and family, the results he gives, and to be honest, I've never seen a more well-oiled machine that is his office. Very short wait times, and the hand off from one area to another is seamless. My calls and emails are returned quickly. From the initial consultation, I knew that he was who I wanted to perform my surgery. He answered all of my questions, (even ones I didn't know I had), and was happy to meet with me a second time to go over some things that I didn't think of until after the first consultation. He spent a great deal of time with me and along with his nurse, Angela; Liz, the Vectra specialist, and Janet, the Patient Coordinator, I walked away knowing exactly what to expect. I went from nervous to excited to see my transformation!! A combination of pre and post-op vitamins, an overnight stay with an RN, and post-op lymphatic massage, The healing process is fast-tracked and better than I could ever have imagined. I am so happy I made the right choice and am even happier with my results so far. Dr Parker is a true artist!
