About 6 weeks post op

Doing better! Have returned light/moderate exercise activity.. hole is about 85-90% healed. I feel good and the bra is helping with support. Still covering my healing wound with telfa gauze (non stick) and wearing a bra 24-7 for shaping. Can't wait till it's fully closed and I feel 100%.

Looking up

Hi I'm almost 4 weeks post op... it's been a rough few weeks. I had a wound infection and was on antibiotics had to go to urgent care for intravenous antibiotics.. 2 times. Then continued antibiotics at home.. finally fever, chills and pain got better.. I've been going in to Dr Ferraro way more often.. he's been great with treatment for the infection.. I ended up getting a delayed allergic reaction to the drug bactrim... a day after I stopped it... there was a rash all over my entire body.. thank G0d though things are looking up.. the puss has stopped oozing and the infection has subsided. I've been applying saline solution treatments to my wound and I am able to go back to light exercise.. hoping this is it and I get to heal properly.. crazy how things you never think would happen do happen.. all I can do is be positive that things are getting better. I haven't worn a bra for 2 weeks because of the infection and just started wearing one again today.. so my shape hasn't changed much... once I continue to wear my bra it will help with shaping. Here are pics of all of what I've been through lol don't be scared the rash is almost gone :)

3 weeks 1 day post op

Breasts look great.. didn't have any bruising up top.. just itching from stitches... problem is on bottom of left breast I still have that hole from the infection.. the stitches split and the wound opened from all the oozing. I am on my last day of antibiotics and barely oozing puss now but the wound is so open I can't get back to the gym.. very disappointing... I would like to address dr Ferraro tomorrow and ask for more aggressive wound treatment.. right now all I'm doing is washing with soap and water and placing dry gauze. Has anyone experienced a wound infection if yes can you share? I haven't been able to wear a supporting bra to help with shaping because of the infection... so I wear a fitting tank with built in bra bec it's so light..

Procedure hasn't been done yet but I am looking forward to it. Dr. Ferraro's office is basic compared to the others that look like a spa.. but it just proves to me that he doesn't try to make a sale from the fancy environment but actually listens to his clients needs and if you're happy with his bedside manner and advice then you will go with him because you trust him to do the job right. Can't wait for January 11! 1/16/17 update... very happy with the results so far I'm 5 days post op and they look good. After care is good. Shaping of breast will come in time. Nipple is at a good height.. scars are minimal.. Dr Ferraro used the old incision underneath to remove the implant so they were not that big. I feel so much better I am so glad he listened to my needs and didn't push a smaller implant. I would've been very unhappy. Thank you!
