So.. Have my 3 week pics up now! I'm very swollen still and my hips and backside are going very downhill from the sitting and lack of exercise. I'm still very sore and have burning searing all over my stomach. Sounds horrible, but it's not. Just can't do as much as I thought I would be able to at this time. I was doing good for a couple days last week, feeling great until I went back to doing my baking( my job). Regretted it 30 min into it. I paid for it that night and since then. I slept in my bed for 3 nights in a row after 2 weeks in the recliner ( couldn't stand it anymore!!) Numb legs and limbs and butt! I was desperate! Well after the 3 days, I'm back in the recliner. Much better. I just can't lay that flat still, even though my legs and head were propped. The recliner is just better for healing. I woke up this morning not in as much pain. I want my bed so bad!!!! Dr. Said everything is looking good. The swelling and hardness around my pubic and belly area will go down but will take months he said. That's fine, I expected that. I just hope my pubic area does for sure because that's 80 percent of the reason I did this in the first place. He said the amount of discomfort I'm feeling should be going away by now, but of course I'm the exception and I'm just a slow healer and that he's had a few patients that were the same way. I still can't reach to shave my legs yet either! That's lovely. Pancake butt and Sasquatch legs!! Just can't wait to run around and be able to pic up my son:)

Hi Sweetie! You look so good! I can see the swelling is going down. Your incision is real low too! He did a great job with your mons too! Wow you like the recliner! I sure didn't. Most here love the recliner. My bed is so much better. I slept in a bed since the beginning. My bed is real high. I also have a closet next to it that I use to hold onto when getting up. I roll onto my side first. Don't worry about the inactivity. You are almost there. I went back to gym at 5 weeks, but the Dr. said 6 weeks. I am taking it slow. You are doing great Every one is different and heal different. Blessings!

Wow! That sounds so good right now! My body is so weak feeling. I really am doing all I can while listening to my body. I walk as much as possible, drink lots and stretch where I can. I'm getting lots of back, leg and stomach spasms though. I am still feeling very bruised, sore, tick filled with blood kind of swollen, and still in pain all over my stomach. I know it's normal, but I think by three weeks it should of subsided some, where I would be on track to getting back to normal activities. I'm supposed to see the Dr. In 3 weeks, I may email him or ask to come in sooner. Do you think this sounds right? I know there is nothing surgically bad going on. I know that things went well and that He did an awesome job and I love it, i just can't take it too much longer. I mean to still at some times during the day have my husband help me in and out of the recliner is not moving forward to me. I'm not a lazy person either. I'm always scooting around the house. In fact my husband gets on my case because he says I don't rest enough. I think I'm supposed to be moving around and keeping my muscles from getting atrophied. Sorry I'm venting to you:(

Everyone heals at a different rate. By all means you can see Dr.Gartner sooner. I think the lipo is what is making your recovery take longer. I had my extensive lipo last year so I probably didn't have any this time. If I did, it must have been minimal. It took so long for me to heal with the BBL because of all the lipo and swelling caused by it. Are you drinking something with potassium in it? That helps with the leg spasms. You are supposed to be moving more each day. Don't over do it but walking is ok. I walked the entire mall early into this recovery. If you don't walk and move, you will feel more stiff, more sore, more uncomfortable. Your brain knows that you underwent a change. How is your nutrition? You have to nourish your body for it to heal faster. I take Vit.C 1,000mg daily plus other supplements. Get a visit with Dr. Gartner and voice your concerns. See what he suggests you take and what activity he wants you to do. You can vent all you want. It is normal to be emotional and even a bit depressed. Feel better and keep in touch.

you look really good! Your scar is low and your belly is really flat :) Arnica gel worked wonders on the bruises and soreness for me. I learned about it reading other people's experiences here on RS. You are almost over the hump!

I'm 4 days post op. Feeling better today that I came off the pain pills. They make me feel horrible. I'm in a lot of pain but taking it easy. I'd rather have the pain then nausea. Finally slept for the first time this morning! I'm loving the results. I know I'm bloated and swollen and will be for a while, but love what I see and can tell a difference. Kim not sure how much he cut off but I know he took almost 2 liters of fluid and fat from lipo. I have no drains and had no muscle repair. Ifs you have any questions, ease ask:)

I just wanted to know if anyone out there had some advice or reccomendations on pre and post OP care?? A good diet for before and after? If I should really stop taking my birth control before surgery? If there is any harmless diet pill I can take to help me get a bit more closer to my goal weight before Feb? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

I would definitely not go off my birth control pills if I were you. Just keep eating as healthy as you can and take vitamins. Before I had my lipo I read about so many people who tested iron deficient and had to put off their surgery that I made sure I took an iron and multivitamin leading up to surgery. You're going to look great!

Hi girl! awesome we have the same Dr. With lipo I lost so much fluid. You need to have perfect blood tests. You need proper nutrition for recovery. The tummy tuck we will learn together. Mine will be an extended full tummy tuck with drains. I am scared but there is no turning back. We are in good hands so that means a lot! Don't take diet pills. I don't believe in harmless that is bull! The best way to lose weight is slowly so you don't gain it back. I was a cow when I went into his OR last time. Came out swollen but slim! LOL

Haha! I read about your last procedure of a BBL, and it was fun to read about it. Your very insiteful. I can't wait to hear about your new experience, and thanks so much for your advice. I normally wouldn't take anything to lose weight, but I'm just nervous because I'm 15 lbs away from my goal weight and I know the closer to it the better before surgery. I'm working out and eating well, so we'll see! I can only do my best, and your right, the slower the better. My pre op is on Wed. Have my list ready. I'm glad I picked him, he was very relaxing and honest. Your butt looks awesome and can't wait to share our experience together! Good luck with everything!!

Thank you! It is so close now! I went looking for a walker because someone said it would help. I haven't found one yet. I did buy a cane as I have a messed up knee and my bathroom is upstairs! I know that will be a problem. Don't worry if you can't lose those 15 pounds. He does excellent Lipo!

Hi Sweetie! I stopped by to say I haven't forgotten. Your surgery is fast approaching! Did you get everything you need?

Awww! Your so cute! How are you?!!!! I picked up some stool softener/laxitive. Dial soap to wash with before surgery, neosporin, a few comfortable pants, big underwear:) and you know what.., I'm really not sure of what else?! Are you using more ice or heat for your swelling/pain? I didn't know if I should pick up extra ice packs. Also did you take anything before and after to help with bruising. I asked the dr., but he didn't seem to keen on anything in particular? What do you think? Am I all set? What the heck am I forgetting?!! Thanks for asking:)

I didn't use any ice packs at all. After anesthesia who wants ice on a wound? It is up to the person I guess. for swelling & bruising I took Arnica pills before and after the surgery. Do you have enough pillows? I also bought the Arnica gel to apply to bruises only or my back for pain. Do you have blue pads for your bed? With Lipo since you will have no drains you will still be leaking fluids. Buy your gatorade to replace lost fluids. The elevated toilet seat was a blessing as well. The toilets are too low and it is hard to bend first few days. Last time I had a donut which is a round rubber tube that is inflated and place on top of toilet seat. Do you have gauzes? You will need combine dressings as well. If you don't have those Kotex works too to absorb fluids and cushion wound. Tape? Those are just some off my head right now.

I will have to get some blue pads and some of the Arnica gel?? Does that really help for you? The pills as well? The pads and tape sound like such better idea! Thanks so much for your help! You should be working for this website!!! How are you feeling?

I am swollen but each day it is less. I am now wearing my garment. Yes, the pills help. I have been using them for years now for bruising and aches and pains. They are homeopathic. I buy the sublingual(you place them under your tongue). You can buy the cream or gel and the pills at GNC.
