Hi my RealSelf family, I've just started this...
Hi my RealSelf family, I've just started this journey with me.I hope work I love myself but I've always wanted to be a little lighter like I use to be.Over the years I've gotten darker because I live in the sun.I've decided to wear sunblock now not only to stay lighter but for my health. I know sun has vitamin D but I have to get more of it through vitamin lol.Well wish me luck and I hope I have great news to tell you all soon.Much love

Well for what it is worth I think your skin tone is beautiful. But I understand where you are coming from, I'd love to have darker skin- I'm super pale. How long have you been using the soap?

What products have you been using? For how long? What works the best for you? What hasn't been working? How light are you trying to be?

I use the kojic soap that u said u use and the fade out cream u said.I've only used it 4 times bc u said it could burn my skin and turn me dark for a minute .I didn't want that I'm dark as it is lol. I just want to get a few shades lighter, not a yellow bone .I don't want to look like Michael Jackson

If you haven't experienced any crazy burn then go for it but I know me myself the soap has been making itch lately and I just felt dirty because of this itch lol. I initially felt burn but I kept using it and I did indeed get yellowbone light until I stopped using it due to insufficient funds

I think it is so sad that you are ashamed to be a black woman and wish to have lighter skin.Very sad....

I think it is so sad that people are still judging other about their aesthetic choices, and it is even more sad to see that these judments are more severe when it comes to black people than any other race. White people get tans, japonese and indians have been bleaching their skin for centuries. It is considered as beauty care. But it is a black person who wants change their skin color, it is considered as self hate. We really have to stop this way of thinking and start supporting each other.
