SculpSure Vs. Tradiotional Liposuction... Made the Wrong Choice

ORIGINAL POST

Before I start my review I must emphasize that...

$3,400
Before I start my review I must emphasize that this review is for the SculpSure laser ONLY not the physician. Dr. Boudreaultt and his wife Molly are amazing and I will go back to them for other procedures.
I decided to get my flanks and abs treated only 1 time because that's all I could afford.
All I can say is that after spending $3,400 for the treatment, I basically got no results. I look the same as I did before the treatment and I feel pretty foolish for spending that kind of money which I could have used towards a traditional liposuction. So I can basically say that this laser treatment 'MAY' work if each area is treated twice or more, but by then it becomes way too expensive!!!
Unfortunately I cannot afford to get a second treatment so I can't tell if it will work after the second time. If you can afford to treat each area twice, then try it, otherwise stick with a traditional liposuction. I personally regret doing it and wish I could go back and just do a regular liposuction. But it's too late for that...

Same happened to me :(
My problem is that I paid for the treatment because I read excellent reviews in this forum. After several months, no results. :(
I talked to a Cosmetics Surgeon and she told me the company behind Sculpsure spend a lot of money in advertising (they are very aggressive in their promotions), suggesting that maybe the reviews are paid. I started to read again the reviews and realized many of them use the same jargon, same phrases.... It's very weird.
That's the part of this experience that haunted me. One thing is that the treatment is not for me, and other thing is that I paid for a treatment that deceived me.

Well, I had a reduction of 1/5 inch. But, that's insignificant for the price.

I'm sorry to hear... I had absolutely no reduction or change in those areas. $3,400 is a lot of money to waste for nothing... maybe surgeons should reconsider using this laser in their offices.

Who was your cosmetic surgeon? That's kind of scary.

Indeed very deceptive and I regret spending that kind of money on something that produced no results. But I think I trusted the surgeon who said it works! The only thing he left out was that it will take several treatments. Those 4 little tiny laser squares that cost around $450 each, hardly cover anything! In order to cover 3/4 of your lower abdomen you will need at least 8 of those small lasers and that's around $3,600 right there!! Imagine trying to do a treatment on upper/lower abdomen and flanks, that's $10K right there for a single treatment which will give you no results. This laser needs to be removed from the market ASAP! But in all honesty I think the company should get sued for making false claims and robbing people of their hard earned money. Like I mentioned in my review, I would have not gone through with the treatment if my surgeon had informed me I would need multiple treatments before i would see results.

I'm curious as to why you are so unhappy with the treatment but still very happy with your surgeon. If it were me I think I would probably not trust that surgeon as much because they did a treatment that is not known for being effective, but you don't seem to be upset about it, so I'm just curious what happened or what they said to make you not feel like they let you down.

Well, I have to share what happened this week. I went to the medical spa and talked to the doctor. Inmediately he told me: don't worry, let's try again without any charge. Wow! I was surprised. Let's see what happen in the next weeks.

That's awesome! I wish my surgeon was just as generous. But in this area, all surgeons are in it for the money... none of them care about how the patient feels.

Does this doctor do traditional liposuction? I don't see it on his website or any reviews...

Im considering this instead of traditional lipo because I'm concerned with scarring as I scar easily. So how was the second treatment and do you have and photos to show your before and your after the second time your doctor trie it again?

I never went back for the second session because I couldn't afford it even with the discount. This procedure is very expensive compared to traditional liposuction because you may need several session to see results. If you have a lot of money to pay for several sessions, then by all means give it a try. If you're on a budget, forget about wasting your money on Sculpsure.
