I'm a young looking (almost) 58, but was bothered by the laxity in my lower face and neck. I tried ultherapy and found it to be a total waste of 3k not to mention horrifically uncomfortable. I weighed the cost and recovery time of a facelift against FaceTite and opted for the less invasive path. Now, neating the three-week mark, I'm pleased with the results.
The first week after the procedure, I could see an immediate correction in my jowl area, but my neck looked scary with an indentation where fat was removed and lumps on the side of my neck. I worried that I'd made the wrong choice and I'd have to have surgery after all to fix my neck! I spoke with my doctor and he talked me off the ledge and assured me I'd be pleased with the results. During my procedure, he was teaching a visiting surgeon from Washington DC so that was a good sign. He has also staged a number of clinical studies on the procedure. (Dr. Newman, Palo Alto)
I massaged my neck area with the back of a spoon for about a half hour for three days and I'm still wearing the compression band at night and plan to wear it for 5 weeks based on a physician's recommendation that I read on this site. Thankfully, I'm healing well and now feel very pleased with my choice.
The procedure took less than two hours and the experience was similar to having oral surgery. I had no pain at all because of numbing agents and a nerve block. He provided a prescription for pain meds which I never needed.
I saw Dr Newman yesterday and he said that my face will continue to improve over the next 6 months. If I'm able to update this review over time, I will.
