As a 63 year old who was just about to embark on a job change in a competitive market, I was looking for a non-invasive procedure to refresh my look. My daughter recommended that I see Dr. Boudreault for a consultation. Dr. Boudreault recommended Ultherapy for my lower face jowls and skin in my neck. I saw his nurse practitioner for treatment a few days later.

Before treatment, I was given pain medicine and a valium. I'm not certain that it was very necessary, as the treatment was pretty tolerable. But it did help to relax me.

Here are my general thoughts:

The procedure itself is not painful. There were only a few times during the two hour procedure, when the nurse practitioner was treating the middle of my neck that I felt minor pinching.

It's not quick. The entire treatment took about two hours to complete. Luckily, it was done in a relaxing environment with spa music and dim lights. I even dozed off a few times.

It can be done discretely. Afterwards, I had no redness, swelling or bruising which the nurse practitioner told me could be a possibility. Other than my wife who drove me to my appointment, nobody would have known that I had anything done.

Results are pleasant but subtle. I was told that I won't see the full results of my treatment for about four to six months, but I already see improvements on my neck, particularly. My wife comments that the folds on my neck have decreased in severity.

During my initial consultation, the doctor mentioned that I may need an additional treatment for the areas where the skin was more loose. To me, having a few Ultherapy treatments is a more viable option than having to incur the cost and downtime of a surgery.

Overall, I'm pleased. I am also excited to see my before and after photos when I return for my follow up appointment six months out from the treatment.

My consultation with Dr. Boudreault was exceptional. He took the time to answer all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns before my treatment. He is a down to earth guy and explains things in ways that I could understand. His staff was incredibly friendly. The nurse practitioner that performed my treatment also did a great job.
