CO2 Laser with Erbium - Palo Alto, CA

Laser settings

I asked the office for the laser settings and got this:
Co2
FACE - 1st pass 35% density, 30 watts
2nd pass 35% density, 27 watts
NECK - 1st pass 35% density, 27 watts

Erbium
Perioral Lines - 400 joules

I had co2 last august...no results and maybe even worse than before...
What type of co2 did you get? Fractional or fully ablative co2?

I had erbium and it worsened scar appearance. CO2 was done at a later time and made a world of difference. Not sure why the erbium is not that great, but will never pay for it again!

I had a CO2 laser with Erbium for acne scarring...

I had a CO2 laser with Erbium for acne scarring and fine lines. So far there is no improvement at all. I understand the results are not immediate, but I expected to see something at this point. I had Fraxel Restore a few years ago which did nothing either. I think I'm just not a good candidate for this kind of therapy, but it is a little disappointing to be promised results and get nothing.

No, the orange peel texture is what I'm trying to improve with the laser treatment.
Your lucky you didn't see anything. After Erbium laser I was left with tons of scars, dents & broken blood vessels. I've been dealing with them for over 9 yrs.
I also think the Erbium laser, which she used around my mouth, made my skin worse. I would not do that again.
Don't give up ! Find a good doctor with proven results. Most doctors I have found are very conservative with power settings in the beginning. I have spent years and a lot of money before I started getting results. Just don't give up!
I am very discouraged, and I spent $5,000 on this. The doctor says she's an expert and she has good reviews. I'll see her in September so we'll see. Thanks for your encouragement.
