I had to conduct a taped interview for grad school a couple of weeks ago and when I watched the video back I was horrified! I had NO idea that my chin went straight down to my neck like that.

So I did what any normal person would do and I took some screenshots (included in this review) and texted them to my husband at work with the proposal that if I could get chin liposuction done, he could purchase ANY motorcycle he wanted (he's been wanting one for a while and I'm more into safety). He wrote back, "Do what makes you happy." So I told him that I already emailed Dr. B's office about doing this during Spring Break. He laughed and laughed and sent me a pic of a picture of a lovely blue and white Yamaha. Worth it.

Looking back, I have ALWAYS been self-conscious of my profile. When cars are waiting next to me at stop lights, I naturally and unconsciously try to "suck up" my jawline. I hate candid photos of myself (and now, apparently videos too). I just need this done. I want this done. I think it will be a wonderful result that will take years off of my face and pounds off of my body (I had a full mommy makeover last year and look great in a bathing suit... unfortunately I can't use that to create a diversion from my chin in real life because swimsuits are rarely the practical choice for day-to-day living).

So here I am! It's a Friday and my surgery is scheduled for Monday afternoon. I already had my pre-op and it appears I am going under general anesthesia so that he can do a few other things during my procedure including a TT scar revision (I healed a little crooked) and I'm getting a non-surgical nose job (meaning: fillers to correct a bump). I am ready to roll and very much looking forward to seeing the results and feeling what it's like to live life without worrying about my double chin. I'll keep the updates coming during the process. Thanks for reading, RS!

They were able to get me in early, so that was excellent! Easy easy lemon squeezy procedure though. My chin/neck ache a bit, but nothing unmanageable. I am so excited for my follow-up tomorrow and get the bandage off my (entire) head! Until then, Netflix and sweatpants.
