Post op day 7

Well, it has been 7 days since surgery. On Sunday I had some really serious pain all of a sudden. I think it was a muscle spasm and ever since, my left breast is harder and higher up than the other. Other than that, pain is nothing. I have some muscle pain as if I worked out yesterday but other than that, it is nothing compared to the pain of breastfeeding and becoming really engorged in those first few days, or when you go a few more hours than normal without feeding.

I included a picture of the incisions. They're so small and totally don't hurt at all. I am so happy!

My doctor said I can walk without raising my heartrate for the first 10 days so I walked a mile in half an hour today and it felt pretty good.

I wanted to show people what 450CC looks like on a "larger" figure. I feel like a lot of people here on real self are super skinny. I'm a size 6, 5'3 and 150lbs. I always felt like I needed to be a size 0 to match my small chest and finally decided I would be so much happier to just feel full figured and have a larger chest to match my healthy body.

Day 1: I was super nauseous. I wish I had planned ahead for that more. I couldn't function at all due to nausea. I strongly recommend having yogurt and fresh fruit on hand to help with the nausea (plus, the vitamins and protein really help the healing). Pain was minimal, but I was on pain meds and the anesthesia was still pretty strong.
Day 2: Nausea was better but I hated the way the pain meds made me feel. I did not feel very swollen or huge. Still no shower so that I did not mess up the bandages. My back hurt pretty bad from sitting awkwardly/hunched over. I tried to stretch my back out but it was not easy. My boyfriend has been a HUGE help. He is doing everything for me and I couldn't do it without him. I got really tired of sitting in my favorite chair, so he set up a whole system of pillows for me on the couch, and then on the bed. He is constantly bringing me healthy snacks and water to go with my medicine. I think it really helps that I warned him ahead of time that he would need to really take care of every thing, including making sure I was taking my meds at the right times etc.
The second night I was able to sleep flat on my back which was amazing. I always sleep on my back so it wasn't weird for me. Make sure you have things around to help you remember not to roll over.
Day 3: No more pain meds! They made me feel pretty terrible and the pain is almost non-existent. I really only feel pain when I do things I shouldn't be doing. So, I just don't do those things. Make sure to ask for help with the things you need. Today I took a quick shower but kept the bandages mostly dry.

Random tips: Plan on using air conditioning and fans to avoid getting sweaty/heart rate up. Not taking a shower or washing hair is a lot more doable when you are not all sweaty.
My surgeon said that I did not need to wear a bra if I did not want to. Maybe because I did not have a lift or anything, but he said that it was more for my own comfort.
