Tired of dealing with girdles due to a "fanny pack pouch" that I hated because it wasn't attractive. It also caused me lots of under skin sweating and flapping skin while exercised.
The outcome of my surgery is still pending due to still recovering very slowly due to a set back based on my overall heath.

Hi! Yes they are. The 1st pic is 2 wks post op n the 2nd pic is 4 wks post op. Therefore, still under my PS care. The wound is now healing from the inside out n it's taking its sweet time. The rest of the incision is healing well except for 2 oozing small holes. It's a very slow recovery but I'm glad/grateful to b alive n continue to do well. Thank u for ur advice/concern.

Hey, you poor thing!!!! I'm glad you're under the care of your ps, and that you're improving. That's a pretty big complication for 2 weeks post op. If you don't mind me asking, what happened? Sending you the biggest hugs and the wishing a speedy recovery for you :)

Hi! Unfortunately I've been battling with ANEMIA for the past 10/12 yrs n it doesn't help that I'm not a meat eater or take in enough protein. I take iron supplements but it wasn't enough for such major surgery or had any idea how important iron is for the body in reconnecting tissue after any surgery. But now, I'm taking the iron/protein intake serious/religiously. Thank u for the well wishes.
June 16, 2017
Gee, I didn't know either how much protein affects healing. Honestly, who would have thought??!!? Or known??? So glad you're getting better. Take care and hugs.

I too had a hard recovery. This must've been devastating to you. I had breast reduction with separation and horribly wide scarring and my TT got infected and opened as well. Not like yours but still opened. I went for hyperbaric therapy. Did they suggest that to you to aid healing? I wish you the best of luck. Keep us posted.

Very slow recovery

Well, here again @ 6 wks po from TT with muscle repair/lipo to flanks. The incision has finally closed/sealed except for a tiny slow dripping hole n of course the opened wound that is still filling in slowly but surely. Also, unable to fully stand straight up when walking due to still feeling very tight. It's incredible/unbelievable how some of the ladies in certain post are commenting that they're walking arnd n wearing their bikinis like nothing at 6 wks po. To me this is mind boggling.

I have the same issue. I had my surgery on May 18. Your open would is almost like mine. To add to the misery, shingles popped up last week! I will say prayers for you as I know what you are going through. Makes you want to cry when you are treating your wounds.

Oh wow! Really! I never thought I hear someone else going through the same as I am. Anyhow, yes my darkest moment was the 1st 3 wks of po n that I don't wish on anyone. But, thanks to God is He who has strengthened/sustained me throughout this unexpected occurrence. Also, I actually like treating my wound cuz it's been an eye opener in experiencing the miraculous/awesomeness progress of the body's healing process. I'm too sorry to hear about ur shingle's bad timing cuz they r no joke. Thank u for ur prayers/well wishes n the same in return.

Hey girl. Glad to see that your wound has made progress. Did your ps give you a vacuum dressing to help close your wound? They work like miracle systems and are unbelievable....sometimes closing open wounds in less than 2 weeks time.

Hi! I've heard of them but my PS hasn't said anything or even mentioned any kind of vacuum therapy. I'm wondering if it's because of where the wound it's located n the severity of it. Also, since my incision hasn't fully closed/sealed completely; maybe that's the reason why it hasn't been offered to me. Believe me, when the wound 1st opened is when I really needed it. Now that's it's finally filling in; I'll just continue packing it n being patient with it. But, definitely on my next visit will b asking my PS about the vacuum therapy just to c what he has to say about it. Thanks for noticing my recovery progress n the vacuum information.

For sure!!! Us girls have to help each other out! My incision healed beautiful but my drain holes...yikes. One just would not heal and widened to over an inch plus made a 4" tunnel parallel to my incision. Wtf right?! So my ps put a vac drain on the whole darn mess, and that's bringing it closed so fast I'm shocked. If it works for me, it def should work for you.
