Nausea Every Day for 2 Months While on Semaglutide

I'll start by sharing that Hormone Fitness provided an all virtual consultation and shipped the prescription directly to my house. They operate via a monthly membership program where you pay $375 a month for the first 3 months then it increases to just over $400 per month (regardless of the injectable dose amount). Since you have to take Ozempic / Semaglutide for the rest of your life to sustain weight loss results that fee is forever! It would have been worth it to me if I didn't feel so nauseous in exchange.

The prescription package arrives with a small vial and several needles to take 1 x shot each week for a month (or 4 total). The next months package is shipped and charged automatically.

The shot was relatively painless in my stomach. I lost my appetite the very next day and each day after. On day 3 I began feeling a bit dizzy like I was going to vomit 2-3 times each day but never did. I contacted the clinical staff to discuss a remedy. They prescribed an anti-nausea medication to take 1-2 times each day. It worked pretty well. Somewhere around 3-4 weeks into the program I had lost 8 pounds so that was fun! I tried to stop taking the anti- nausea medication but couldn't go a single day without feeling awful. Awful enough to alter my mood each day. By this time my 2nd month package was charged to my card and ready to go. That vial is still sitting on the top shelf of my refrigerator door unopened.

I had to make the hard decision between feeling "normal" in my body each day while accepting my weight and "average size" OR a lifetime of taking a weekly shot and 2 pills everyday with car sickness and skipped restaurant date nights to be "skinny"!

I have 2 friends that didn't experience nausea at all and they are dropping dress sizes by the week. If you have a sensitive body like me you may have to make the same decision.

Lastly, I've read recently that the medication in a pill form is supposed to be more sensitive to those experiencing nausea. I haven't decided if I'll give it a try once it's available.
