On December 20th, I had my lipo done. They did lipo of my entire midsection, front and back, from under the breast to the pubic area, side flanks and the inner thighs. I went in that morning and I was weighed, given antibiotics through and IV, then the doctor came in and marked all over my belly prior to surgery.
I then walked back to the operating room where they scrubbed me down three times and cleaned my belly button. This room was FREEZING cold, but before I knew it I was waking up in recovery. I was told to purchase cheap shower curtains before surgery because I would need to cover my chairs and mattress, or anywhere I would be sitting during the first 24/48 hours. This was soo true. My husband covered the seats of his truck with commercial trash bags for the ride home. It was a little over a 2 hour ride home and by the time I got home I was soaked. I used a cheap shower curtain in my recliner and that is where I stayed most of the evening. I had to change clothes once throughout the night because I had leaked through my bandages.
I stayed home from work the day after surgery and I was able to shower. One spot was continuing to drain, but most of the others had stopped. The shower felt great. I was prescribed 800mg Ibuprofen but I didn't even have it filled, I just used the Ibuprofen that I had at home and I've only taken 2 doses of it. My husband did buy me two bags of frozen peas and they helped last night when I was a bit restless and couldn't sleep very well. Today, 2 days later I am back at work. The swelling is pretty sever and it def. hurts to get up and down from a chair or in and out of the car, but the pain is def. tolerable. The swelling is what sucks, its impossible to find clothes to wear that actually look decent!
The doctor also performed a small procedure on the hood of my belly button. If you followed my Breast Augmentation, I posted before pictures of my belly button on there. I go back the day after Christmas to have my stitches removed.

About 36 hours after surgery
At first my swelling seemed to go down a bit, here's after some sleep and rest. The compression garment is so tight!
