After more than a year of thinking it over, I have decided to go through with smart lipo to remove the excess fat around my waist. I am 26 yo and 175 lbs.

Over the past two years my weight has bounced around between 145 and 190. I have always stored my weight around my waist, regardless of my weight, and I am going through with the procedure now because I am going to be active duty in the Air Force in 2 years, and my waist is still 5.5 inches larger than the maximum allowed size for the physical fitness test.... and I just hate my stomach.

I've read countless numbers of reviews on this website...the good, bad, and ugly. I wouldn't have been able to make the decision to go through with the procedure if it were not for the fact that others had blogged about their experience, so I will do the same.

On my way home from the procedure. I look about 6 months prego and it feels like I got punched in the stomach. He only did my abs today, and next friday he will do my flanks. The nurse said that there was too much fat to remove all in one procedure!!! Nice huh?

3 hours later...I just got up to take some pain meds. I have some pain in my lower abs. It isn't that bad but I am not about to wait for it to get worse. I don't know why everyone speaks of this "oozing"...it's much more accurately described as gushing!

Thanks. I had 3 quizzes to take today (2 down and 1 to go) which has kept my nerves off of the surgery. Now that's it's just 1 quiz and 2 hours away I am starting to freak....bring on the Valium!

I wish i had been in a twilight state Christina. The first round of Valium i took one hour before the appointment did nothing fo me. Right before the procedure the nurse noticed and had mea take 3 more doses. I was terrified during the numbing part...it was so painful...then the Valium finally kicked in and I was relatively relaxed and pain free for the remainder of the procedure.
