Two weeks post -op
Regardless of the date info realself posts automatically, this is a two-week update. I'm just late getting it posted. LOL
My one week po doctor visit went fine. Got to review massage instructions and found out i was not doing them exactly right. Turns out I'm just supposed to squeeze them between my thumb and fingers going up the implants from about 4 and 8, 3 and 9, and 2 and 10 as on a clock. The nurse said it works to break up the capsule or maybe to keep it pliable. Anyway, i wasn't too far from doing it correctly and was an easy adjustment.
I was cleared to do everything but chest exercise, told to keep wearing sports bras until 4 weeks po, and was asked not to spend more than a moment or two immersed in water.
Perhaps the most interesting thing to happen was the doctor saying i should wait another week to get sized for bras. WHAT?! That totally caught me off guard! I asked him if that's because the projection wouldn't change even though the implants themselves would settle more below the nipple. He said yes. And that he believes i'll end up a C cup! I'm thinking maybe he works at Victoria 's Secret on the side after reading all the realself reviews about the salespeople being so far off their initial sizing! It levy me wondering if he's correct about bra size not changing much so i spent some time measuring and trying on bras at Target. More on that later.
Anyway, feeling great! Taking Tylenol a couple times a day when the incisions are bothersome. On the beach this minute and my sister says she can tell by how i move that my confidence has improved. I didn't even think i had much of a problem with that. LOL. She's also pleased to know that there's no worry of catching a glimpse of my nipples where my swimsuits always gaped open before! We have a lot of laughs!
