I have had a total of four surgeries, The first was done in 1998 /Saline.. lol, I guess you could say they were the "training wheels" of implants, so to speak. Just a year after that I suffered from severe capsular contracture, That I had to live with untill 2003. I another surgery with the same surgeon. "Sigh" following another, and then Yet Another with a different Surgeon, whom I adore! He has since retired.. I'm very sad about that! I have been having numerous health issues, Joint pain, a lot of brain farts, if you will! Most of the time I don't think straight! And I am forever tired! I'm hoping to get these out next month! I wanted to thank all of you Beautiful and Feerless woman, For sharing your stories, and giving me the confidence to get it done! And be rid of the foreign objects that make me ill!

My first impression of Dr. Young is that he is a very caring man! He listened to my concerns and took his time answering my questions, he is very well informed and makes sure you understand all aspects of the surgery. His office worked with me to get me in as soon as possible, and scheduled for surgery in the same manor, due to the pain I am in. I am looking forward to having surgery with Dr. Young!

Mine have only been in one year and made me sick two weeks post op (fatigue, muscle spasms, brain fog, tingling in feet, etc). I literally have visions of myself cancelling the original surgery in my mind all the time. Oh well, hindsight is always 20/20. I am doing the work and getting various opinions from ps's. My hope is to get them out this Spring. I am optimistic I will get better. Thank God for this site,
right? It has been such a source of comfort to me. Good luck to you amd keep us posted.

I'm so sorry! I'll pray for you getting them out soon! I have a few friends that I am trying to talk out of doing it, but I have a few friends that I am trying to talk out of doing it, but he knows some people have to experience these things for themselves. You know this site has been a Godsend to me!

Of course! Please stay natural!! I really could have used someone telling me the same, it would have saved me from countless issues! Now I am faced with having to deal with a stretched out, loosely stacked natural. Ugggg.. I hope I have a somewhat good outcome, but nothing is guaranteed, I wish I would have stayed natural! ! Don't be like me!

I agree with lisa8161. I wish i could go back in time and would have never had implants. I never knew that my pec muscles are ruined for life and I will have deformed breasts every time I flexed! I love to work out and lift weights and wish I would have stayed natural. I never felt totally comfortable with these things and the thought of having surgery every 10-15 years to replace them was not appealing to me at all. It feels great to know that I will never have to have surgery again.

Awesome... it is a breeze, don't be scared, You'll feel better after they are out! I already feel amazing!

I'm waiting for Kim his nurse to return my call as I consulted him over 3 weeks ago, sat and discussed my explantation and my health issues and no word. His surgical quote was bare bones....no capsulectomy, no en bloc removal, no validation of my symptoms of fatigue, brain fog, Fibromyalgia, hair loss since implanting with Dr. Hall just 3 years ago. He didnt even bid the drains....no need and said that he's do the antibacterial rinse, but it was Voodoo as clinically it was not efficacious given many women have post operative infections irrespective of his treatment! I was stunned he did not make any provision for the tender burning in my axillary area at my lymph nodes which have escalated since my mammogram as BCBS required before an MRI was to be approved. He didn't offer to request the sonogram or MRI. Very disappointed. I expected Dr. Hall's replacement to be like him....that was not my experience. I would've loved to have him acknowledge my implant related illness and help me.

Please go with another surgeon! !!!! Don't mess with that guy! He apparently doesn't know what he's doing! You need a total care here, and he won't do what ALL NEED TO BE DONE.

My illness was not acknowledged either.. they have no "scientific evidence " But I don't blame them for that... it's not in their interest to study on it.

When you get them out, you'll feel better, as things change and heal.

What surgeon are you going with? If you don't have CC, it's an easy surgery. And few complications that come from it..

I'm going March 4th to Dr Sheryl Young, who acknowledged that all implants after two years of implantation require capsulectomy because our bodies create that scar as its natural response to the foreign implant to wall off the invasion of macrophages. I happened to see a post from a 27 yr old who was a 34D, had one child and after 6 months of breastfeeding, 34B went to Young for implants. In the time that I never received a return call, she has visited and is already scheduled for 550CC silicone implants next week with rave reviews of Kim and his attentiveness! Kim did finally call back and apologize for not calling me and that he was out of town....but still, what a scam....no excuse for his medical ethics to disregard my sudden onset of pain following the 3D Mammo as I was trying to secure a
sonogram/MRI. I know I will prevail and get better....thank you all for your loving support. You all rock! It is not excusable, Google Fandor.com free trial of a documentary on silicone breast implants.....entitled "Absolutely safe" Watch it. Docs know and ignore it because of greed.

I had an appointment with my family Dr. He scheduled a sonogram for my breasts. As soon as the results get sent to the surgeon I can schedule for explanation! Even though I talked with my surgeon Monday, it feels like forever. Only because of the pain I'm in. Does anyone have a magic wand? Or easy botton?
